We really liked it. Saw lots of gators and birds. The guide knew the spots and what to share with us. We even saw an owl!
Our tour guide, Jason, was awesome!! He pointed out so many aspects of the bayou's flora and fauna. He clearly enjoys what he does and loves the bayou. Don't miss this tour if you're in New Orleans.
We had a great time! The guide was full of knowledge. We got to see several gators and different birds.
Luis was our Captain/Guide. Very informative and fun. This definitely is a must do if you go to Lousiana. I went with my boyfriend for my birthday weekend and we had fun and saw lots of alligators.
Great experience! Loved our Captain Jason he really took the time to make sure we had a good time. Saw many gators and other wildlife.
The reason for not feeding wildlife isn’t just the government and their rules as stated in my tour and that should be clear. If you have been doing this and understand and respect the wildlife you should know this. As a forest ranger on this trip, I would educate the guide that the reason is the animals then rely on the food source and don’t hunt as readily for their own food. It is to their detriment in many ways. The point of wildlife is to be wild. Obviously animals will get used to the routine as they are smart, but they should not be sought out to be domesticated just for the money of a tip to get closer to them. Dont try and tame them as such. When they are nesting as you obviously stated, don’t try to lure them out of their nests. Respect the season and respect that they are wild creatures and that there are rules for a reasons and it’s not just to enforce rules. It’s actually for the wildlife’s wellbeing.
This was worth the trip. It was a calm and relaxing tour of the swamp. Interesting sightings. Informative guides.
Guide was friendly and funny, but it's just driving up and down the water lanes in the swamp hoping to see something.
We really enjoyed the tour! The boat itself was a good size, not too crowded and equipped with snacks we could purchase during the tour. The gators were a site to see and the guide was entertaining which made the tour a lot of fun.
The visit was very interesting, the landscape is very beautiful, and the boat ride is pleasant. Alligators and other animals can be observed.
