We do lots of bike tours in various cities, and this was by far the most disappointing. Central Park was crazy busy and it was hard to enjoy the tour between horse and carriages, delivery carts, people, etc. A better experience would be to walk Central Park on your own without a tour.
Carla took our group round Central Park, she pointed out some important parts and gave us time to look at the interesting parts. We enjoyed the turtles in the pond! It was great to see so much flog the park and we felt safe throughout. We all recommend the tour. Thank you Carla too job!
Terrible bikes, very poor quality. We rented at 56th street. The handles were loose and the tires were flat. In the Netherlands we would have het rid of the bikes! They know what poor quality bikes they rent out!
Brilliant tour. Our guide Alex was brilliant and so knowledgeable, would highly recommend
Everything was perfect. Timing went along really well. Our guide, John was amazing and he made sure that we saw all the highlights with really good information in history. The only thing I was disappointed with is that we do not get a credit back to my account for pre-scheduling extra time with the bikes that we did not use. A credit for Viator was given to us, but it is hard to find where it’s located, they said it would be in an email, but I do not see it yet. All in all it was fabulous and would recommend highly.
Our Central Park 2 hour bike tour was an amazing afternoon guided by DAN. He delivered all the history and commentary about the buildings as we approached Central Park ( a few short blocks), and all the sights within the park with great humour and was very engaging. He set a comfortable riding pace and was very caring to all members of our group, ensuring he knew how everyone was travelling, fast or slow. He got to know where we were all from and played music from all over the world as we cycled around and he took photos and videos of each group, giving us all a bit of individual attention. We stopped at many sights and enjoyed watching Dan perform with the local musicians at Strawberry Fields. Riding around Central Park was definitely a highlight of our trip to New York. The reason for the 4 star review is administrative- we had ALOT of trouble booking through the APP, we used a GOCITY pass and had received mixed information about how early we could book. This ended up voiding our passes and we had to do a lot of chasing up with both unlimited biking and GOCITY. Thankfully we sorted it out. The other thing we were not happy with was that we were charged $1 for a $0 verification of our card. Besides this, we were happy with the quality of the bikes and especially with the experience Dan gave us - He was unreal, making all the admin fuss worth it.
Had a fantastic time riding round Central Park on E bikes. Dan our tour Guide was very knowledgeable and always looking out for people in our group! He is also a talented singer as he gave us a Beatles rendition ! Would really recommend this activity on a visit to NYC
So disappointed with the company Wouldn’t even recommend them to my worst enemy. Disinterested front desk staff’s main priority was to take my ID and force an insurance on me in order for me not to be tempted to steal the bike. Not at all interested in listening to my concerns or assuring I would have a comfortable experience. Very sloppy egocentric guide who seemed to be there to solicit tips rather than take Care of his guests. Lost me and my friend when he took a steep left, in the middle of a traffic jam, and didn’t Care to go looking or telephoning for us. Called the office to enquire where he was, waited 10 (expensive) minutes and they didn’t pick up the phone. Found the group after one hour, guide blamed us for his losing him. Front Office refused to provide a refund, almost didn’t get my ID back. Would recommend tripadvisor to remove the company from your website, given their profound lack of interest in their customers well-being!
Guide was brilliant informative fun and knowledgeable, riding gets you thru Central Park quicker so seriously consider this tour I loved it absolutely awesome I am bike fit but my husband is not being the weekend he struggled to stay with the group and get around the crowds getting lost several times just beware you need some fitness for this activity and be aware of times day you pick
We had the absolute best time on our Central Park bike tour with Kyle! From the moment we met him, his friendly energy and easygoing personality made us feel like we were exploring the park with an old friend — one who just happens to know everything about its history, hidden corners, and best photo spots. Kyle’s knowledge of the park is incredible — he sprinkled in fascinating facts, funny stories, and little bits of New York history that made every stop along the way come alive. What really stood out was Kyle’s enthusiasm — you can tell he genuinely loves what he does, and it’s contagious. He made sure everyone in our group felt comfortable and safe on the bikes, and he was more than happy to take amazing photos for us.
