Thabang was amazing, very professional and helpful.
I never even got to experience what was promoted! Driver never showed up. Operator informed me that THEY missed my pick up time not I missed it!! I messaged 30 minutes prior to pick up when I was at the pick up spot. I messaged 10 minutes after pick up and called 15 minutes after pick up with no responses. The operators are extremely slow to respond back. As well as they do not provide and proper phone number until they reach you eventually. The phone number provided in the email belongs to an international hotel who has nothing to do with the company.
The tour with Thabang was sensational. He took us to various spots in Soweto, showing us all the facets of the world's largest neighborhood. Thabang is incredibly knowledgeable about the history of the city and South Africa, and he was very polite and helpful. I highly recommend him!

Fantastic tour round Soweto. I visited the Nelson Mandela House, the Hector Pieterson Museum and spoke with locals in an informal Soweto settlement. My guide Thabang was amazing at showing me all the fascinating sights Johannesburg and Soweto had to offer. He was friendly and me feel really at ease. Would definitely recommend.

For us a real eyeopener. Thanks to Thabang, our guide, who’s from Soweto. He explained us everything very clear. He made us feel very comfortabel and safe. A pleasant morning and an amazing experience. Thanks a lot!
Thank you for positive review we appreciate
The Soweto experience is quite eye-opening to learn from our guide, Thabang, who picked us up in our hotel on time. He himself grew up in Soweto, so you feel safe and well taken care of. He took us to the different townships, from the rich, middle class, and poor districts. We stopped at the poor district and were guided by Hope, who lives there herself. She explained to us the struggle they face every day, from lack of running water, electricity, and jobs. We get to stop by a kindergarten school where we're greeted by the kids with a song, hugs, and smiles. We felt the love and joy in the eyes of those children. Despite their struggles, they're not short of hospitality and generosity of human spirit. He also took us to the Mandela house and Pieterson Museum. Thabang is truly a wealth of knowledge, and he still helps out the township to provide sanitary products for women in his spare time. Truly, this tour is not just about seeing Soweto but an immersion of the life they face every day. So,if you want a deeper and better understanding of Soweto, please do yourself a favor and hire Motley Tours and Travels as they are not only a company for business but a company with a heart. By using them, you're also helping the people in the poor township of Soweto. Thanks, Thabang, for your time and knowing your heart for Soweto.

Our guide for the trip to Soweto , Thabang, grew up in the area, speaks 7 languages and did an excellent job educating us. It’s obvious he has a passion for the people who live here and wants to share their past, present and future with visitors. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and will bring our kids back to share the experience.

We enjoyed a wonderful tour with our very knowledgeable and friendly guide Thabang. I would highly recommend this worldly historical tour. We were even able to complete the tour with storms and hail. Our visit to South Africa was very brief but the time spent with Thabang will instill a lifetime of memories for my son and I.
