The Giza Plateau (Arabic: هضبة الجيزة) is a plateau in Giza, on the outskirts of Cairo, Egypt, site of the Fourth Dynasty Giza Necropolis, which includes the Great Pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure, the Sphinx, several cemeteries, a workers' village and an industrial complex.
The only completely preserved portrait of the king is a three-inch high ivory figurine found in a temple ruin of a later period at Abydos in 1903. All other reliefs and statues were found in fragments, and many buildings of Khufu are lost. Everything known about Khufu comes from inscriptions in his necropolis at Giza and later documents. For example, Khufu is the main character noted in the Westcar Papyrus from the 13th dynasty.
Khafre's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple and the king's pyramid. The valley temple yielded several statues of Khafre. Several were found in a well in the floor of the temple by Mariette in 1860. Others were found during successive excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, Reisner,
Menkaure's pyramid complex consists of a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king's pyramid. The valley temple once contained several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added on to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also yielded several statues of Menkaure.

First of all I’m very hard to please nor impressed ! I was picked from my hotel , with a happy smiles , good energy , and quick coffee stop before my trip starts . The driver Ahmed was very kind and very sharp as I over payed by mistake for my coffee and he noticed and corrected the barista , which honestly touched my heart , straight away I didn’t feel like tourist I felt like local . When we arrived to the pyramids the star of the show Somaya , was so so patient with me so kind and highly knowledgeable and very educated about ancient history and pyramids . But what impressed me more her passion and her way to explains and educates you without getting bored nor tired . She constantly offers you water as is hot in Giza , she always check on you and if u genuinely okay ! And last but not the least is the pro photographer Hassan with eyes for details and good location to take life time memories … everything was perfect and beyond , worth every penny and more . Mohamed was an amazing tour guide! We toured the Giza pyramids, took a camel ride, ate lunch, and visited many shops. He was sure to explain the history and made sure that we had a great time!
