If Rome was born in the Palatine, the Roman Forum was his first conquest. We will walk along the Via Sacra entering its basilicas, in the Comicio, enjoying the beauty of the temples and the richness of their history.

The Palatine was the symbol of the patriciate, of the 'palaces' in which those in charge of exercising power lived. Place of the foundation of Rome, chosen by Romulus as the origin of the city.

Dont take it

The worst tour ever! They changed the start time on us when, as a tourist, we had other things planned. We searched extensively for an option with a Spanish-speaking guide, and the day before, they informed us that "unfortunately, the guide wouldn't be joining us." We couldn't even book on the spot because everything was sold out. A terrible experience; it's best to look with another agency.

It remains one of the best cities in the world.

Thursday: arrival on Iberia. Bus to the apartment, much cheaper than a taxi, comfortable and clean. Discovery walk through the neighborhood (Prati) and the Vatican, but this was brief because Marcos Rubio was visiting and everything was closed. Excursion to the Gianicolo: Garibaldi Square (with countless statues of the patriots from the 1859 revolution), Fontanona, the Spanish Academy, Bramante's Tempietto, and descent to Trastevere via the Scala del Tamburino. Rest and listen to the Santa Cecilia Orchestra perform Mahler's Fourth Symphony (fabulous). Friday. Vatican open. Tip: attend the 8:30 AM mass at St. Joseph's Chapel and you will be able to see St. Peter's Cathedral peacefully. Shopping on Via Cola di Rienzo and a stroll along the Tiber. Dinner in the Pigneto neighborhood, an old working-class area that is now trendy and full of young, attractive people. Saturday: train excursion to Tivoli, visiting the old town and the fabulous Villas while enjoying a wonderful meal. Sunday. Stroll through the Monti neighborhood, which is also trendy now. Then, for sightseeing: Piazza Navona, Piazza del Popolo, Campo de' Fiori. From Spain, Via del Corso, Trevi Fountain, Villa Borghese… Lunch at Beltrame, a classic restaurant. Monday: last day: farewell while strolling through the Vatican and Prati, which has squares and churches worth knowing. We ate at a "normal" restaurant. (Not "touristy"), frankly quite good. Then by bus to the airport and off to Spain.

Visit to the Coliseum and Palatine Forum

We did the guided tour to the coliseum and the Palatine forum with Nerea, the truth is that everything was great we found the place where you are easily picked up with the instructions, then our guide Nerea was very attentive and cordial and even made us laugh at the group on several occasions and made the visit very enjoyable and was very aware of all the details, we who traveled a lot is what really creates the difference from one experience to another, we were very grateful to her.

I moved to the time of greatest Roman splendor.

It was very nice to go walking through the forum, the palatine and the Colosseum while listening to the stories that the guide is telling, you are soaked in pure Roman history. If you are going to Rome it is essential to take this tour.

It is worth visiting the Forums and the Colosseum with a good guide

Rafaella, our guide, was excellent. He knew the subject very well and made it very interesting and bearable despite the heat of Rome in July. We had already been to the forums and the Colosseum but this visit was much better than the previous ones, and that is due to Rafaella. He took us to meet parts of the Palatine Forum that we had not seen before.
