My family and I arrived to Berlin through a cruise. We had to be picked up from the port which is about 2 hours I think from Berlin. At first I was worried about the drive, but it was very nice to see the lush country side. The driver also stopped for the bathroom for us whenever we requested. We had to cram as much of Berlin as we can in one day, and give ourselves enough time to make it back to the port. It was a lovely experience. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and PASSIONATE. PASSIONATE about the history and country is so important in my book. My favorite part was lunch. I enjoy trying each region and country food whenever I travel and it was an amazing experience. Honestly wish we had more time, but we did get the most out of it. Communication with booking was seamless. Very responsive.
What a review! Very much appreciated...Thank you very much again for the confidence you have placed in me. This is what keeps my passion for being a guide growing. Best regards from Berlin, Harald
We were looking for a private guide to pick us up from our cruise ship and drive us for an all day tour of Berlin. We could not have been more delighted. Harald was prompt, knowledgeable, flexible and spoke impeccable English. We could not have had a better experience!
I am so happy to hear, that you liked touring with me. Thank you very much for your great review and best regards from Berlin
Our tour guide, Claudia was phenomenal. Because she lived in West Berlin when the wall came down, her stories were authentic, insightful, and personal. I didn't know what to expect when I booked this tour, and all I had in mind was seeing Checkpoint Charlie. By the end of the tour, I knew there we so much more. I appreciate that Claudia didn't focus her tour on Hitler and WWII. She talked about that, yes, but much of the tour centered around the Wall and the division between East and West Germany--in personal ways. We visited the Wall, the museum next to it, the Arch, the memorial of those who died next to the arch, CheckPoint Charlie, and ended at the Holocaust Memorial. I'd never heard of the Holocaust memorial in Berlin and found it a beautiful touching way to end. This was by far one of the best tours I took during our European Cruise.
Best tour ever! Take this you will not be sorry, Thomas our driver and Claudia our guide were very knowledgeable and happy! They picked us up at the cruise port and took us to and from Berlin, Long day, but very worth it !
Thank you very much for your great feedback. I am very happy to hear l, that you enjoyed your Berlin tour. Hope to see you soon again... All the best, Harald
We’re so lucky to have done this private tour. It was just my sister and I and we learned and experienced so much. Having a driver and a guide was fantastic. All questions were answered and navigating the city was fun and so stress free. This was our first time visiting Germany. We enjoyed our Berlin tour so much, we know we must return.
Dear Mrs. Sullivan, Thank you very much for your great review. I am very happy to hear that you enjoyed touring Berlin with me. I wish you and your sister a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Best wishes from Berlin, Harald
A nice clean van was waiting at the pier for us. We made good time to Berlin. Harold met us and we spent the next several hours seeing, but just as important learning of the city and its people. Harold gives an unvarnished factual account of its history. The family loved it and we left for the ship wanting more... hope to see you again! The Bakers
Dear Mr. Baker, thank you very much for review. It was a great pleasure for me showing you Berlin. All the best to you and your family, Harald.
We were a group of 6 adults and engaged Harald as our guide in Berlin. It was fabulous, informative &well planned ! We were picked up by a driver at the port to Berlin and Harald met us in Berlin. Harald's knowledge of Berlin's history during WWII, the cold war and architecture was outstanding, we were able to see all the highlights of Berlin. He is an excellent guide and he showed us some very interesting places tucked away in alleys that we would never have found, his album of pictures showing before and after the war are very telling and he is very knowledgeable and organized. Highly recommend to everyone in Berlin.
What a fantastic excursion. Absolutely perfect day. We meet Yaung (??) our driver who was so very friendly and accommodating who took us 2 1/2 hours to meet up with our guide Ariel, Ariel spoke very good English, was so informative on the history of Germany. We had 6 hours with him and he took us to every place we wanted to go and explained in detail all the sites. He was extremely nice, informative, pleasant and very cooperative with all the places we wanted to visit. Yaung drove us to all the places and was extremely careful in his driving. I can't say enough of how much we enjoyed this excursion. We are still talking about it a week later. The only problem I could see is we ran out of time! AN AMAZING TIME and would highly recommend it!
