Greenwich Village Food Tour

Description
Greenwich Village is where New York gets cool, weird, and delicious all at once. This is the neighborhood that has always done things its own way, and there’s no better place to eat your way through NYC’s past and present. On this guided small-group food and history tour, you’ll wander winding streets lined with beautiful brownstones and leafy parks while tasting some of the Village’s most iconic eats. From historic butchers and old-school bakeries to legendary pizza that somehow gets better with every bite, each stop tells a story and feeds you well. Along the way, your local guide brings the Village’s layered history to life. Learn how Dutch farmland became a bohemian haven and why artists, musicians, and rebels have been drawn here for generations. This was Manhattan Walking Tour’s original food tour and remains a favorite for good reason. Beautiful streets, unforgettable flavors, and stories you won’t find in a guidebook.

We had an incredible food and history tour of Greenwich Village in Manhattan with Robin, and it was THE highlight of our trip! The food was absolutely unbelievable, every stop was delicious and thoughtfully chosen. Robin was truly exceptional. She was so kind, answered every question we had, and had an amazing depth of knowledge about the area and its history. The way she tells stories is completely captivating, whenever she spoke, everyone listened. She brought Greenwich Village to life in such an engaging and memorable way. If you’re considering this tour, definitely book it, and if you can, ask for Robin. Highly recommend!
One of the highlights of our Manhattan trip. Jake, our guide, was great. He shared many interesting and useful tips for Our visit. Pro tip - be sure to book walking tour early in your visit so you have time to put Jake’s recommendations to work.
I went on the Greenwich Village food tour with Cale as my guide right before Christmas this year and had an excellent experience. Cale was extremely knowledgeable on all things NYC, was entertaining and friendly, and provided excellent company for the entirety of the tour! Cale was also quick on his feet as one of the restaurant's ovens went out - he quickly offered a solution that we were all very satisfied with! The food was delicious and my personal favorite was the slice at Bleecker Street Pizza. The variety of food was excellent as well - Indian, Pizza, French Pastries, and cannolis. This tour I would highly recommend for solo travelers, families, or groups!
Great tour - balance of a variety of food (with back stories), history (including A. Hamilton facts), and culture (Friends, Sex In the City, T. Swift, and Jake's celebrity sightings). Jake was a great host.
We did the double tour of the High Line walk followed by the Greenwich Village Food tour. Dave reached out the day prior to make sure we were all set and instructions on where to meet him. We had Dave all to ourselves! From the moment we met until we parted ways, he was so professional and knowledgeable. Let’s start with the walk. What a lovely surprise in the middle of New York. The history is so interesting and the walk is jut lovely. The various architecture and the history behind them is fun. Even with it being so hot, the grounds weee green and beautifully maintained. The walk took us right into Chelsea Market. This was the beginning of the food tour and oh my goodness, what a treat! Let’s say if you have never had a pasties de nata, well, you are in for a treat! I will not give away everywhere we went as you need to take the tour, meet Dave, and get ready for some incredible food experiences! This is a special treat! Put your walking shoes on and get ready for a fabulous day! I hope you get Dave as your guide as we thought he was awesome, thoughtful and so kind!
Fun and delicious! Excellent tour guide, Cale! Friendly, smart and knowledgeable guide! Will request Cale in the future!

We had a wonderful food tour of Greenwich Village and the Highline in NYC. Jake was incredibly knowledgeable and had such a way of highlighting interesting historical and current event info along the way. The extent of his knowledge was truly impressive, and he went above and beyond to be helpful in planning the rest of our stay. This company has been a dream to work with, and their customer service and policies make them our preferred food tour company.
Wonderful tour. Claire was friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable. There was confusion as to our meeting place but she took us to Greenwich Village on the subway and gave us tips for future rides. The food was abundant and delicious. The weather was frigid but she cheerfully Carrie on.
