First time going on a tour guide, Derick was hands down a true New Orleans local and a great person! Heavily recommend a tour through New Orleans he knows everything about the city! Amazing!
Mr Derrick was AWESOME!!!!! Professional, knowledgeable
Great way to learn more about the history of New Orleans and see some spectacular old houses at the same time. Tour guide was knowledgeable and very passionate about sharing history.
The Garden District tour with Robin was a highlight of our recent trip to New Orleans. Knowledgeable about the history and architecture of this historical gem, she gave an amazing walk that included the homes of present and past residents from Jefferson Davis to Ann Rice. In addition to all we learned , she took great care of us , and referred to us as “family”which is how we all felt . Do not miss the tour!
This tour company cancelled the tour 54 minutes before the start of the tour due to low attendance. They called me 54 minutes before the start. This is horrible. Luckily some other tour company took pity on us. Honestly did they not know there was low attendance 24 hours ahead. If I’m required to give 24 hour notice to cancel so should the tour company.
Had a great tour with Carl; knowledgeable, good story teller, and unique perspectives on the history of New Orleans and the garden district - loved his book recommendations!
The Garden District is beautiful and we did enjoy hearing about some of the history of the homes. We loved seeing the architecture and the yards' landscaping. We got to ee another whole aspect of the New Orleans experience.
The Garden district has stunning architecture with beautiful wrought iron fences and moss covered trees . The day was pleasant with a gentle breeze . The only unplesantness was the guide . She was a true nightmare of little information . She repeated herself multiple times , referred to a huge laminated rolodex to share facts I could have googled . Square footage , cost , kitchen location , etc . Avoid Betty Jean . Nothing was unique or interesting . No fascinating stories of architectural details or talk of styles of homes . It was not worth it .
Beware! I couldn't go on the tour because our host wouldn't accept my bar code, and didn't know how to let me on the tour.
This was one of our most favorite events of our week in NOLA. Our guide was so so informative and really fun - he's the best..
