The Karnak Temple Complex, commonly known as Karnak , comprises a vast mix of decayed temples, pylons, chapels, and other buildings near Luxor, Egypt. Construction at the complex began during the reign of Senusret I (reigned 1971–1926 BCE) in the Middle Kingdom (around 2000–1700 BCE) and continued into the Ptolemaic Kingdom (305–30 BCE)
The Luxor Temple is a large Ancient Egyptian temple complex located on the east bank of the Nile River in the city today known as Luxor and was constructed approximately 1400 BCE. In the Egyptian language it was known as ipet resyt, "the southern sanctuary". It was one of the two primary temples on the east bank, the other being Karnak. Unlike the other temples in Thebes, Luxor temple is not dedicated to a cult god or a deified version of the pharaoh in death. Instead, Luxor temple is dedicated to the rejuvenation of kingship; it may have been where many of the pharaohs of Egypt were crowned in reality or conceptually.

Wow, what an experience! I cannot rate this trip highly enough, from start to finish it was truly excellent. Myself and my 16 year old daughter decided to make the most of Egypt by booking flights to Luxor for the day to take this adventure and we are so glad we did it. We visited 6 major sites including the Valley of the Kings, Luxor temple, Collossi of Memnon and the Temple of queen Hatshepsut. Our guide Maichael was great, friendly, patient and extremely knowledgeable on Luxors ancient history, he was even reading and explaining the hieroglyphics to us, this was a great addition to the trip that we did not receive from any other guides. He spoke perfect English to us and he bartered with each entry guard to get my daughter student prices which was difficult as she forgot her student ID, we felt protected and welcome in this beautiful country. And the cherry on the cake was the manager and organiser Abdul, he was also friendly, very personal and gave us some of the best hospitality I have experienced on any holiday, even picking us up and dropping us off to various places not included in this trip himself! A wonderful guy I feel lucky to have met and he will be the first person I contact should I or any of my family ever return to Egypt.

The trip was absolutely breathtaking, so much history to be explored! The tour guide was so amazing and had wonderful hospitality, and we felt safe and happy throughout the trip. Our tour guide gave us lots of information about each site we visited, along with some free time to explore each place and take photos. It was very incredible, I would recommend it!
