Once you arrive in Genoa, your bilingual tour leader will accompany in a 40-minutes walking tour from the top panoramic spot of Castelletto down to the heart of the city, passing by some of the very main highlights, until the ancient harbor. During your 2-hours free time, you can visit the city center and try the delicious traditional Ligurian culinary specialties such as pesto and focaccia.
You will take the boat from the enchanting Santa Margherita Ligure, a gem of the Italian Riviera! With its picturesque harbor, elegant villas, and vibrant seaside promenade, this coastal town offers the perfect relaxation.
You will arrive by boat with your Tour Leader to the postcard-perfect beauty of Portofino, one of the world’s most exclusive and breathtaking destinations! This iconic fishing village on the Ligurian coast is renowned for its colorful harbor, luxury yachts, and stunning Mediterranean views. In your 1.5 hour of free time, you can wander through its charming piazzetta, explore boutique shops, or savor gourmet cuisine with the sea at your feet.

- Please note that the boat cruise can only be undertaken when the weather and sea conditions are favourable for sailing. In the event of sea conditions unfavourable to navigation, the cruise cannot be carried out for reasons of public safety. In this case the cruise can be made by public boat or even not made and Portofino will be reached in other ways. As this is a case of force majeure, failure to carry out the cruise will NOT entitle to any refund, even partial.

Regarding your refund, we can confirm that it was processed just 30 minutes after your request. We have already received the official confirmation from Viator. Please understand that once the refund is issued by us, the actual timing for the funds to appear on your statement depends entirely on banking processing times, which are beyond our control. Regarding the cancellation, the tour was cancelled due to severe weather and sea conditions. On that day, no vessels were able to navigate as the authorities deemed it unsafe to go out at sea. For us, the safety of our passengers is always the top priority. Since we have acted correctly, promptly, and in the interest of your own safety, we kindly ask you to reconsider and remove this review. We feel this negative rating is unjustified given that the delay is purely technical (banking times) and the cancellation was a matter of public safety. This is a wonderful tours.Our memorable day trip from Milan to the coastal gems of Genoa and Portofino! With viator tour guides, we explored Genoa's rich history and stunning architecture, then enjoyed the scenic cruise to the village of Portofino. Viator tours are very nice option for us. We visited Genoa, Italy, for its UNESCO-listed historic center of Renaissance and Baroque palaces, its vibrant maritime history evident in narrow alleyways, its status as a major port and the birthplace of Christopher Columbus and we sailed to Portofino.
