Caroline was our tour guide. She got to know everyone in the group and offered us to stop for breaks & pictures. She was very informative on the Milan history & paced the day well. Enjoyed lunch at a local favorite. Last supper and Duomo were amazing! This is a walking tour, recommend good walking shoes.
I highly recommend this. The guide was competant, clear and helpful. If you are going in high Summer note that there is a fair bit of walking involved. Great experience.
Our guide Simone was the best! Informative polite and very aware of keeping us comfortable and safe. Everything was perfect despite the heat!
Milan has so much to offer. The Last Supper viewing experience is amazing. Milan cathedral is grand. More our tour guide Simon is excellent. I learned so much from him about Milan and Italy.
Great tour! Simon is a Terrific guide! Very knowledgeable! This tour gave a nice overview of many of Milan’s highlights! Very well run and planned out. Highly recommended!
Simone was positively SUPERB! Informative, kind, very pragmatic, and exceptionally well prepared! We will most definitely book again.
This is an interesting tour with a lot to see and experience. Unfortunately, the tour had a subpar guide (Corrinna) whose English was so poor that many on the tour pulled their ear pieces out. She often would discuss things unrelated to the tour. For example, at a Roman ruin, she discussed La Scalla. At La Scalla, she droned on about DaVinci. Halfway through the tour, three people simply left. I wish we did too.
Dear Jeremy, We’re pleased to hear that you found the tour itself interesting and appreciated the number of things to see and experience. However, we must strongly object to your description of Corinna as a “subpar guide.” This is an unnecessarily disparaging way to refer to one of our longest-standing and most experienced professionals, who has been conducting tours at these sites for many years and has received hundreds of positive reviews from guests over time. We also find it inappropriate to present your personal opinion as though it were shared by the rest of the group. We received no complaints from other participants regarding Corinna’s English, her explanations, or the content of the tour. Statements such as “many on the tour pulled their ear pieces out” therefore do not correspond to any feedback reported to us and cannot be presented as an established fact. As for the topics discussed, a professional guided tour is not limited to describing only what is physically in front of the group at a given moment. Historical, artistic, and cultural connections are often part of the explanation and are intended to provide broader context to the sites being visited. You are, of course, entitled not to appreciate a particular guiding style. However, presenting an experienced professional as incompetent and attributing the same opinion to other guests, when no such complaints were reported to us, is neither fair nor representative of the service provided. In any case, we thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and are pleased that you still found the tour itself interesting. Best regards, Paola
Perfect day. Simone was great. A must do for Milan.
Excellent day hitting all the highlights of Milan. Carmine, our guide was an excellent fund of knowledge, with patience, and consideration for the group during our heat wave tour.
Our guide had an extremely thick accent, that made it hard (and at times impossible) to understand her. When booking a guide in English, we expect to be able to understand the stories being told - at least most of the time. The tour begins with a long list of rules, that we really would appreciate having in written form before the tour, so we could prepare properly and reference, when the guide was impossible to understand.
Dear G4554U, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to read about your experience. As your review was posted under a nickname, we are unfortunately unable to identify which tour or Tour Guide you are referring to. We would therefore appreciate it if you could contact us directly with your booking reference and tour date so that we can investigate the matter thoroughly. This is the first time we have received this type of feedback regarding the guide's English, and all of our licensed Tour Guides have been working with us successfully for many years. They are local professionals with extensive knowledge of the destinations they present, so while a natural Italian accent may be expected, our goal is always to ensure that guests can clearly understand and enjoy the commentary. Once we know which guide conducted your tour, we will certainly look into your comments and discuss them internally. Regarding the "long list of rules" mentioned in your review, the main requirement concerns the dress code for entering the Duomo, which is an active Catholic place of worship. Guests are required to have their shoulders and knees covered. This information is clearly stated in the tour description and booking information on Viator before the reservation is completed, allowing guests to prepare in advance. Once we know which guide conducted your tour, we will certainly look into your comments and discuss them internally. Thank you again for your feedback, and we look forward to hearing from you so that we can investigate your case. Best regards, Camilla
