Me and my family came to England for the first time and we found this amazing day trip to some beautiful small villages around the country. Our experience started and ended really well, since the beginning of trip our guide Ales was really polite, friendly and always on time. Each city we got a detailed explanation of the place and some tips about what to do. Such as a amazing trip and amazing guide.
Wonderful day and Eles by was great and provided lot of interesting history comments.
The tour was great. The guide was extra helpful as he picked us up closer to our hotel
Great tour guide Ales took us through all the cotswolds towns!
The trip is an all day thip. We were taken on a coach bus but asked not to use the toilet on the bus. They did stop once at a place half way there and half way back. The bus was amazing as it had tables and you could sit and chat with each other. Anderson was the company that the bus was provided from. Communication from the bus company was not great. We were told to arrive 10-15 minutes early from boarding time, not departure time, but was only give a departure time. The bus came after the departure time by a few minutes. The driver was great. Kat the guide was ok. She seemed to be very new to being a guide. She was choppy with her communication, literally told us when she was going to take a drink because she needed water. Most guides/speakers just drink and continue. The tour spots were great. Time in Bilsbury was great. There was not enough time given to us in Burton on the water. We were give 1 hour and 45 minutes where we were told we would have lunch. The places to eat took at least an hour to feed a group of 4 so not much time to walk the trail back and see the sights or do anything else. We were given too much time at the tower which could have been given to us at the place prior. Stow in the Wold was a quaint little village and an hour was just enough time to walk around and get a beverage. Kat did a nice job here showing us some popular historical sites at this destination.
I’d recommend this tour. The Cotswolds are beautiful and we only saw the tip of the ice berg. Kat the tour guide was very informative. Tom the driver was brilliant. Lots of small roads and tight spots to deal with. The bus itself was fantastic.
The Cotswolds tour gave us a nice overview of the area, with stops at four locations, each with a different character. Our guide Ales made the tour come to life with historical context and anecdotes, as well as personalized suggestions for when we went off exploring on our own. Our driver Dom completed the experience with his own colorful commentary. Would highly recommend!
A missed tour turned into one of the loveliest days. Despite arriving late and close to tears after travelling from outside London, Ales and the driver were incredibly kind and accommodating, making sure I could still join the group. I didn’t regret it for a second. Beautiful memories, plenty of steps, Birdland and Jurassic Journey, the joy of a children’s duck race in Bourton-on-the-Water, the charm of Bibury and the River Coln, the history of Burford Church, and a visit to the wonderful Porch House, said to be the oldest pub in the country. A heartfelt thank you to Ales and the driver for their kindness, it truly made the day special. ❤️
Ales was an incredible guide and gave such helpful information and history! He was super approachable and answered all of our group’s questions! SEND ALES ON MORE TOURS!
