Great tour!!

We had a great and very interesting afternoon with Seiya. What a great person! I went with my wife, brother and stepsister on the biking tour with Seiya. What a experience, learned a lot, saw a lot a had a lot of laughs. He is also a sports lover , just like we are. Lots of talks about soccer, baseball and of course Shihei Ohtani between his stories about Kyoto, history, Maiko’s and Geiko’s. Absolutely a top afternoon!👍👍👍👍

Wonderful 5 star bike tour in Kyoto

We had such a fun time on our Backstreet Kyoto Tour with Makoto! He was very personable and funny, and had a wonderful positive energy and smile, which made us feel like fast friends. He was open to sharing himself along with his culture, and we all felt connected, which we truly appreciate and treasure. He also took great photos at scenic stops! One of our best experiences here! Thank you again Makoto :)

Kyoto by Bike

Kayo did a masterful job directing us through Kyoto to see cherry blossoms, temples, shrines, geisha districts, canals and picturesque views. She explained historical fact and cultural traditions verbally as well as with printed pictures. She helped us with directions to addition sites after the tour. We had a wonderful experience and took tons of pictures.

Fantastic bike tour round back streets

Superb tour! Out guide Kaz(uhiro) was knowledgeable and interesting. Pace was gentle on city bikes with frequent stops to explain areas, like the geisha district. Kaz was also a really nice guy who deserved his tip. Don’t worry if you aren’t a cyclist- bikes are lightweight city bikes with hub gears and chain guards. They also have a basket at front to put things in. You get a full briefing before setting off. Absolutely terrific/ fully recommended

Backstreets with Makato

It was our last day of 6 in Kyoto and we wanted to skip the tourist sites and explore the other areas of Kyoto. Makoto created a route on the fly that took us through the backstreets, local markets, the river, and a couple of other off the beaten path areas. It was a great last day for us to have a more relaxed and non-touristy day around Kyoto.

Operator response
