The booking provided a voucher which was supposedly sufficient to be scanned by security and allow access. Once we got to the head of the line this turned out to not be the case. We were unable to log in to the app and try again. At that point we joined the line to buy a ticket and got in having paid twice for the privilege
Pantheon skipthe line tour made it easy to get in and not have to wait in a long line to purchase tickets. However that is all we got from this so can’t comment any further.
Don’t use viator! The day before my scheduled tour I was emailed that my trip was canceled. I went the next morning with out a ticket got right in waiting 2-3 minutes for only 5 euros compared to 30. If I could rate a negative 1 that’s what it deserves.
The actual Pantheon was amazing. However collecting our tickets wasn’t! We had to meet the guide a couple of streets away but no-one was there to meet us. We waited 20 minutes until the guide arrived but he didn’t have our tickets so he made a phone call & told us we had to wait a further 30 minutes for them to come through! Then he walked us to the Pantheon and got our tickets scanned & then he left. It would have been much quicker to just queue for 20 minutes without purchasing tickets in advance!
Purchase your tickets from another vendor or from the Pantheon website directly. I had an issue receiving the tickets from this vendor and still didn't have them a couple hours prior to my scheduled entry time. I reached out to my travel agent and Viator, and both were unable to get in touch with them after multiple attempts. The tickets did finally get sent to me, but at 1:40pm with a 2:00pm entry. We did eventually make it, but not knowing if we would have our tickets or not until the very last minute was less than ideal. Save yourself the headache and go direct to the source.
We booked this tour for 10 for 5 pm on June 13. When we arrived to the Pantheon we were told we did not have the right ticket in our Travelocity app and that there was no 5 pm visits allowed due to services in the pantheon at that time. I tried to reach the company through the Travelocity AP and using the phone number in the Ap and got no answer. Eventually after messaging them through WhatsApp they said they booked us in error for that time and offered times to see it the next day. I selected a time only to be told it was no longer available. So I chose a time for the next day and waited for them to send the tickets. I sent multiple messages asking for the tickets to be sent with no reply. They never answered when I phoned and only after I texted again at 11pm following an unanswered phone call they sent us the 10 tickets for the next morning booking. When I reviewed the tickets I saw that one ticket was booked for the wrong time. I immediately messaged them back about this issue and got no response. We ended up not bringing that person because they had a ticket for the wrong time, only to later receive a text after our entry time saying we could just have gotten that person in with the wrong timed entry ticket. I have now been badgering them for a refund at minimum for that ticket with none issued. Such a stressful hassle and ruined my enjoyment of another tour of the colosseum because I had to spend my time rearranging these plans vs listening to the tour I was on. Very disappointing. The Pantheon however is worth seeing. Just don’t book with these people.
Guys at meeting point were very helpful. His was an audio guided tour that we had no problem with. We were able to bypass the long line.
The Pantheon, simply put is an amazing piece of architecture, history and engineering. We used timed entry tickets for 0900, but the line was still long; however, once our time slot was allowed entry, the line moved along quickly. You can purchase tickets on site, those lines are also long and take much longer due to everyone having to purchase the tickets. Do yourself a favor and purchase timed entry, or a tour with “skip the line” tickets. From my observation, early morning is the best time to keep the crowds manageable. Our timed entry allowed us to access the Pantheon, while originally a pagan temple, it is now a church, so remember the decorum. No bare shoulders, short skirts or short shorts allowed. Starting from the outside you enter through a massive colonnade and its 16 massive columns. Once inside, you’ll be amazed by the shear scale of the structure and the unsupported cement dome is simply amazing. That being said, without a tour, we found that a half hour to 45 minutes allowed us the time to have the experience of the Pantheon. Remember to walk around the exterior of the structure to get the complete picture of the structure.
You don't skip any lines, the title is misleading, you have to still wait in a long line and they force you to buy shalls from street vendors to enter. Save your money and just buy the ticket when you arrive. This is Overcharged and still have to wait.
Skip the line tickets are the way to go. It was very busy and we got to walk right in. Hats are not allowed and women need to cover thier shoulders. Definitely a must see.
