It was great learning how to cook local dishes like nasi lemak, sambal udang and kueh dadar under Jenn and Nur! They guided us step by step how to cook these dishes and it was so much fun! Very engaging couple bonding for us! Thank you so much!
Absolutely incredible experience ✨ Jenn and Nur were super friendly and knowledgeable, they not only taught us how to cook typical local dishes, but also shared some history, traditions, and tips for our time in Singapore. The group size is just right to ensure a cozy atmosphere and the teaching is also very personalized as they check on you often, redirect you, explain why things should be done a certain way, etc. The selected menu and food portions are also perfect, we were actually even able to bring some dessert back to our hotel! ❤️ We had an amazing time at Food Playground and would 100% recommend!
Great food. We had a class with our four kids, and they were wonderful with them.
We had a great experience and Cindy was great. Definitely recommend this activity on a visit to Singapore. It would have been helpful to know what we were cooking ahead of the session. There wasn’t any signposting know what dishes were cooked on what specific day. It was good that we were not vegetarian as our meal was chicken curry (delicious by the way). We would have liked to cook laksa. Also I would recommend you put a minimum age for children attending alone on the booking page. There was an 8 year old boy dropped off by his father for the 3 hour session. He was rather demanding wanting drinks and snacks and interrupting the session. Just being an 8 year old child, impacted on the session for us, felt like this was childcare for the parent who did not attend.

I've noted your comments regarding knowing the menu in advance. We had faced some issues getting our menu schedule published here on Tripadvisor listing page, which is why you were not able to find this info ahead of the session. We will continue to engage with Tripadvisor to resolve this issue, so hope we can resolve this problem very soon. As for the minimum age for children attending alone, we will make it a mandatory requirement for any kid under 12 year old to have an accompanying adult attend together. Cool hands on cooking class with background information on all the food that you prepare. The staff were local women and very knowledgeable.
The staff are knowledgeable and share the dishes background to allow participants to appreciate the history while cooking. A must try and go to Food Playground if you are looking to learn to cook and/ or team building.
