Description

Most days are ordinary. But some days are so big that people are still talking about them 2,000 years later. The 15th of March 44 BC, Ceasar's last day, was one of those days, and you're about to jump right into it. Led by Roberta Jones, time-traveler and licensed tour guide, you'll walk the streets where Julius Caesar rose to power, commanded armies, and made powerful enemies. As you explore iconic sites like the Capitoline Hill, the Jewish Ghetto, and more, actors bring ancient Romans to life all around you: the great Caesar, his wife Calpurnia, his enemy Brutus and more...You won't just watch hisstory. You'll be part of it. Join Caesar's army, become a Roman citizen, and get pulled into the biggest conspiracy the ancient world has ever seen. Was Caesar a hero or a tyrant ? You decide. Ancient Rome is waiting. Are you brave enough to step in? *Tour operates with a minimum of 7 participants. If the minimum is not reached, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund.

A masterclass in making history both educational and incredibly entertaining

I can honestly say it was one of the most unique and captivating experiences I’ve had in Rome. If you are looking for more than just a standard guided tour, this is absolutely the one to choose. Historical figures "come to life" right before your eyes to share their stories and ideals. You don't just hear about history, you feel like you have been transported back in time. The tour also offered a thought-provoking look at how ancient power struggles and political ideals still shape the world we live in today. The way the actors interact with the audience is fantastic. The narrative flow is flawless, making it very easy to stay engaged without ever feeling overwhelmed or bored. Because of the walking tour’s dynamic approach, even children will be absolutely mesmerized by the characters and the storytelling. A massive five stars!

What a theatrical experience!

This is not just a guided tour but a full blown theatrical experience. Caesar recruiting me into his army, Brutus wrestling with his conscience, a mime artist who stole the show, and a very clever ending (I won’t spoil it for you). History has never felt so alive thanks to very knowledgeable guide Roberta and her team of actors.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS ANIMATED TOUR

I HIGHLY recommend this tour wholeheartedly! I’m a huge history buff and never been in a tour so historically accurate and animated. At every corner of the tour, you will be taken back in time and also take with you philosophical and historical applications to the present day. Roberta and her team go above and beyond and cannot wait to come back!

Amazing experience!

What an unforgettable two hours. My kids were absolutely enchanted by Roberta, she has a gift for making history feel vivid and alive. They were completely drawn into the stories of Caesar, Brutus, and Calpurnia, and we found ourselves giggling all the way through. Walking the very streets where Julius Caesar’s story truly happened, while watching the ruins come to life through their performances, was beautiful. If you’re searching for an experience that’s both educational and entertaining for adults and children alike, this tour is a true gem.
