You’ll be picked up from your hotel in Cairo or Giza in an air-conditioned vehicle to take you to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization. Located in Old Cairo, the museum showcases 50,000 artifacts and will tell you the story of Egyptian heritage and culture.
Move to visit the Egyptian Museum, which features artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum displays a rare collection of 5000 years of art which is considered the largest most precious collection of Egyptian art in the world. For three years I have been looking forward to the full opening of the EME. I didn’t want to get involved in a risky organization of this stay, so I turned to Sun Pyramids tours to see if they could organize my stay, namely my airport transfer hotel (for arrival and departure D and D4), one day for the visit of the GEM, another for the visit of the site of Saqqarah and Dahchour and, another, for the visit of old Cairo, having booked myself hotel and flights. The person who took over my case is named Hoda. We exchanged a lot via WhatsApp to finalize my program. Hoda was incredibly helpful (for example, I had answers to my questions at midnight last Sunday!) Everything was perfect, the car, the driver, the guide (francophone), respect for schedules, restaurants... As the hotel I had chosen was close to Sun Pyramids Tours, I went to visit them and was received like a VIP. Thank you Hoda for organizing this stay and your welcome. Of all the trips I have made, this one will be remembered as the best.

Excellent tour! The guide, Ahmed, charming and loving your culture! They explained everything to us perfectly. With car with driver, adapting to our needs! From the agency we were allowed to increase the tour including a visit to the market, with another guide (Mohamed) who explained everything related to the most modern life and history of the city! Recommended 100%, I would definitely repeat with them if I returned to Egypt!
NMEC was a lovely museum - a modern bright wonderful space. The Hall of the Mummies is a definite see and the exhibits are all interpreted well. The Egyptian Museum has some wonderful artefacts, however, expect the Grand Egyptian Museum, when it opens will be far better. There is an exhibition of artefacts from Tutankamuns tomb and there are various ancient treasures well worth seeing.
We actually did 2 tours with Sun Pyramid. The first was to the Giza pyramids, Saqqara, and Dashur. The second tour was the Egyptian Museum and the National Museum. Both times our guide was Mohammed Kafafy. The staff at Sun Pyramid Tours communicated well both before and after booking. All questions were answered in a timely fashion. We were met each day at the appointed time at our hotel. Our guide, Kafafy, was excellent! He was knowledgeable and clearly passionate about sharing as much as possible about the sites we visited and the objects in the museums. He made sure that we saw all the best things and that we knew the significance of those things. I would definitely recommend Sun Pyramid Tours, and Mohammed Kafafy in particular if you're looking for tours in and around Cairo.
