Egypt 9 Days Cairo,Alexandria,Aswan,Luxor,Cruise, Abu Simbel From Cairo Airport

Truth? Not a good experience and very very expensive. Extras (tickets, water on the cruise, tips, meals -nothing special - and a night extra we had to pay due to a problem of Mody tour) arrived at almost 1000 euros each person, because in Egypt they don’t allow to pay the same prices as locals: prices for tourists are European prices or higher. So this program + extras is incredibly high priced! Mody tour never sent any program so every day was a surprise: didn’t know at what time we would have the pick ups, didn’t know any details. They changed our program and didn’t tell us, so the tours started with the cruise instead than Cairo, but nobody told us. Tour is 80% travelling and waiting, 10% visits to shops where they push you to buy, and finally 10% visits to archeological beautiful sites. Hotel is very far from everything in a poor outskirts of Giza, and tours finishes at 16, so if you want to do something or eat you have to take taxi and spend extra money and 30/40 minutes to reach Cairo. Suggestion: book a nice hotel by yourself, book transfers with Uber, and if you want a tour book daily tour and cruise individually. You’ll spend way less and you’ll have more control on your experience.

I researched multiple Egypt Tours across platforms - this package run by Modi Tours is by far the most complete Tour of Egypt possible in 8 nights. Sadly we missed the hot air balloon ride due to weather issues but part of the expenses were returned. What could have made the Tour more valuable is adding 2 nights and adding either Hurghada or Siwa Oasis to the package. The Tours are packed as hell with early morning runs almost on a daily basis but quite worth it given the time constraint. But they could consider spacing it out to let people enjoy the cruise a little more. Our guide in Cairo - Farooq -deserves special mention. He had great aptitude for being a travel guide, answering all our questions patiently and taking care of all our needs. Similarly, our guide ( Muhammad) on the cruise for Luxor, Aswan, Edfu, Karnak, Philae and Valley of Kings was equally adept had handling a large group, providing answers to most group members patiently. Strongly recommend this tour!

My wife and I had a wonderful holiday in Egypt with Nile cruise from Aswan to Luxor and then Cairo one day to Giza. In all 6 days and 7 nights April 2025. Abu Simbel, File, Kom Ombo, Luxor Karnak...with Linus a competent, kind and helpful guide. And Seif a kind, competent and helpful guide only for me and my wife in Giza for a wonderful day among the pyramids, the Gem and other interesting experiences that he has selected for Us. Ayman and Ramadan should be mentioned to organize everything and we thank them for their commitment. In short, a really pleasant and very interesting holiday!

My experience was horrible ,as my tour operator in Egypt cancelled my trip without informing me on my trip start day from Oman.Then I forced to rebook again with additional money arranged as I did not get the reimbursement on the same day.The reimbursement came after two days.On the day of travel start ,my peace of mind is completely destroyed and the trip intention was destroyed.

We have embarked on the journey with Mody tours and it has been a delight and an experience. The pickup from the airport was fantastic , Mohamed gave us a great introduction to Egypt and the next day our tour guide Ceaser gave us a very personal tour of the pyramids. His background in history and his knowledge made it a very special experience to the point others from other groups stopped to listen in to him. Things were a bit shakey getting onto the cruise but we made it to find the group that we would be doing our tours with and a (different) Mohammed gave us our tour throughout the Nile. He was patient with us and his have us detailed explanation of the sites. We have been given the all clear for hot air balloons and really looking forward to Alexandria but so far the trip has been great and would recommend it for anyone who wants to switch off and just cruise through Egypt. It is particular great for older explorers and families. It would have also been good to get an approximate of what the extra costs would be to help us budget better as they seem to creep up out of nowhere.

Guide very knowledgeable Whirlwind tours starting at 4 am everyday. Expect late lunches and dinner. Still worth it
