What an incredible day! This was easily one of the highlights of my trip to Portugal, and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Porto. A special thank you to our guide, **Filipe**, who was funny, friendly, and made the entire journey so enjoyable. He shared interesting stories throughout the day, kept everyone entertained, and was always happy to take photos for us, which was such a thoughtful touch. The Douro Valley itself is absolutely stunning. The winery visits were beautiful and gave us a great introduction to the region’s famous wines, but my favorite part was the **boat tour**. Cruising along the Douro River while surrounded by rolling vineyards and peaceful hills was incredibly relaxing. The views were breathtaking, and it was one of those moments where you just want to put your phone down and take it all in. Everything was well organized, the transportation was comfortable, and the itinerary struck a great balance between sightseeing and relaxation and a very nice traditional Portuguese meal. It was a memorable experience from beginning to end, and Filipe’s energy made it even better. I would happily book this tour again. ☺️

Exceptionally well organised tour. Our guide Alvaro was well versed in the history of Portugal and Port Wines. Small group of six was amazing, all from different parts of the world. Visited two wineries where we explored behind the scenes in the making of wine and Port wines, learning the process of extraction and fermentation and the difference in barrel types and their purpose. Then to the tasting, amazing. Tasted several wines at both locations where we could take our time to enjoy, nothing was rushed. The river cruise on the Douro was spectacular, seeing the height of the vineyard terracing is mind boggling, and we certainly didn't go hungry at lunch. Three course lunch tasting wonderful traditional Portugese food. Even though it is a long day, at no point did it seem rushed. Would highly recommend.

If you're trying to decide between the many Douro Valley tours, I can't recommend this one highly enough. One of the main reasons we chose it was the small group size, and it absolutely delivered. There were only six people on our tour, which made for a much more personal and relaxed experience. We never felt rushed, had plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and really got to appreciate each stop along the way. Our guide, Alvaro, was exceptional. He has a great sense of humor, is incredibly authentic, and brought so much more to the day than simply reciting facts about the places we visited. He's clearly a well-rounded and genuinely interesting person. As an avid birdwatcher, he pointed out birds and shared fascinating tidbits throughout the drive that we never would have noticed ourselves. He's also a former professional soccer player, which led to some fun conversations about Portuguese football and World Cup drama from the past summer. Those personal touches made the tour feel unique and memorable. The stops themselves were stunning. We visited beautiful wineries and viewpoints without battling large crowds and most of the time, it felt like we had the places almost to ourselves. There was plenty of excellent wine and delicious food, all enjoyed at a comfortable pace that never felt rushed. This was one of the highlights of our time in Portugal. Between the breathtaking scenery, outstanding wineries, intimate group size, and especially Alvaro's warmth, knowledge, and personality, it exceeded our expectations. We would recommend this tour without hesitation to anyone visiting Porto and looking to experience the Douro Valley.

Amazing experience for me and my mom, if you cannot spend the night in the Douro this is the way to do it. Its a long drive but our guide was amazing! Very communicative as with all the construction makes pick up a bit tricky. I loved the drive, tight, winding roads and beautiful scenery. The wineries were great family run. I love the extra attention with lunch we got to try some new food, our guide was also great to accommodate our preferences. Its a tight schedule but our guide was so wonderful to make sure we still didnt feel rushed. Thank you for a once and a lifetime experience for me and my mom. Great value!

We had a wonderful day with Jose! It was a full day with stops to 2 wineries, lunch and a boat ride down the Douro River. The lunch was especially delicious and we enjoyed all the wines we tasted, so much that we bought 7 bottles! Book the tour! You won’t be disappointed!

It was a most wonderful experience...our guide Filipe was wonderful...funny and knowledgeable...the wineries we visited were small family owned wineries where they made us feel so very special...A big Thank you to Leila at Quinta do Cume for the wonderful tour..She made each one of us feel like a important guest in her home...A tour that will forever remain in my heart.
