Embark on a 10-hour journey from Porto to the Douro Valley, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its breathtaking landscapes and renowned wines. Begin with a stop in Amarante, a town rich in history and architecture. Then, visit Quinta do Seixo for a guided Port wine tour and tasting, surrounded by stunning vineyard views. Enjoy a traditional Portuguese lunch, savoring authentic dishes that highlight the region’s flavors. Afterward, relax with a Rabelo boat cruise, admiring the valley’s scenic beauty from the Douro River. End your journey at the Olive Oil Museum, where you'll indulge in tastings of wines, olive oil, honey, and almonds, discovering the region’s iconic flavors. For a shorter option, the 6-hour tour skips Amarante and heads directly to Quinta do Seixo, followed by lunch and a visit to the Miradouro de Casal de Loivos. We will make the first stop in Amarante for a coffee. It has the church of São Gonçalo de Amarante. (Around 30 min) After that we will have the trip to the Douro Valley, around 1h 10min

I went on this day tour with my dad who doesn’t really drink wine and he still loved it! Joao was fantastic! We had a great group of people and the wineries were beautiful. Definitely worth it to do!

The Douro Valley was everything I hoped it would be and more! Our trip to Douro Valley was amazing! Joao was an incredible tour guide, ensuring not only that we had an enjoyable and memorable experience, but also ensuring that we understood both the charm and the history of all we were seeing.
