Start your day with a comfortable pick-up service directly from your accommodation located in the heart of Porto or Vila Nova de Gaia.
A charming riverside town known for its beautiful bridge over the Tâmega River, the São Gonçalo Church, and its traditional pastries. Enjoy a short technical stop and admire the local scenery.
First Wine Estate – Guided Tour and Wine Tasting Arrive at a prestigious Douro Valley wine estate (such as Quinta do Val Moreira, Quinta do Panascal, or similar). Take part in a guided tour of the vineyards and cellars, followed by a tasting of three local wines.

- You can be picked up from a private address other than hotels in Porto & Vila Nova de Gaia downtown area/city center only (Matosinhos Cities are outside pick-up limits)
- Our pick-ups happen between 8am & 8:45am (the time window for all client pick-ups), so we advise to always aim to be ready at 8am in advance.
- Wineries or order of wineries visited may differ depending on their availability.
- Visits at the wineries and river cruises are not fully private and open to external participants.

This is a wonderful day out. From start to finish , our excellent guide/driver, Carlos Daniel provided us with expert knowledge of the wines of the Douro valley and kept us amused with his anecdotes.He was very kind and charming and made sure that the group from various countries gelled.The tour was well organised and my request for a gluten free meal was well catered for by the winery where we had lunch.The staff at both wineries were lovely and knowlegable and we learnt a lot about the wine of the region. The scenery en route was spectacular and Carlos Daniel made sure that everyone had perfect photos to remind them of this trip.The small group made for a very comfortable and calm experience . The communication with the team was excellent .Definitely would recommend this tour.
This was an outstanding tour of the Douro Valley. We recommend this experience. Our tour guide Louis M. was the key to this fantastic day long tour from Porto. He is entertaining, informative, and considerate. I would not hesitate to take another tour with him. As promised the group was small. It only contained seven people. This was a great number as we visited and tasted wines at two wineries, and had an amazing hand cooked lunch paired with these wines. Many thanks to the guide and chef for their kindness at Quinta do Monte Travesso. We were also impressed to taste the difference between three locally produced honey from rosemary, heather, and chestnut. The Douro Valley was impressive from both the river cruise and especially the mountain side perspective. Again, thank you Louis M. for a wonderful day!
We had Luis Matos. He was most excellent during our tour. He has been doing this professionally for years and had a lot of knowledge about the history of Porto, its delicacy and wines. I don’t drink much wine but this tour got me appreciating some of the highest quality of wine. We had the chance to visit producers of local and organic wines and savory olive oil and honey. The local winery served delicious lunch. We also had a boat tour which was a delight to see especially with the perfect weather.
This really was a good experience. The guide Luis was the best guide. He was making this trip most valuable within his knowledge, service minded attitude and I general a very robust guide.
We had a great day exploring the Douro Valley, visiting two wineries and enjoying a lovely river cruise. The lunch was also a real highlight — delicious and very well organized. But what truly made the experience special was our guide, Luis M. He was absolutely fantastic: incredibly kind, attentive and always making sure we had everything we needed. He went above and beyond throughout the day, sharing his knowledge while also creating a really warm and relaxed atmosphere. Luis really made the difference and turned a great tour into a memorable experience. We would highly recommend this tour, especially if you’re lucky enough to have Luis as your guide!

Carlos Daniel was an excellent guide , very knowledgeable and with a great sense of humour. It was a memorable day with lovely wine tastings and food. The boat trip was a lovely way to appreciate the beauty of the Douro valley. Totally recommend.
