You must book, if possible, with Vasco as a tour guide. He is super friendly and very knowledgeable about the area. I highly recommend the wine tasting tour. My stomach is still full! You will get the most amazing views you will ever imagine. The whole experience is unforgettable.
Amazing experience. This small group tour really checked all the boxes for a Douro valley tour. Relaxing and picturesque PRIVATE boat wine varieties, amazing lunch that felt more like a family dinner with meat and fish varieties, not to mention we had an amazing and friendly group of 8 strangers who gelled so well from start to finish, making this full day tour even more enjoyable. How could I forget the amazing driver and tour guide Vasco. Thank you so much Vasco for being you and so easy to get hang out with. Would definitely book with Wonders Tour again.
The trip was fabulous. Vasco made us very comfortable on rthe ride and was knowledgeable about the area. The boat ride was excellent. I was very impressed with the food for lunch. A lot of meat and delicious! Being in a small, intimate setting was perfection.

Nuno and Vasco Silva were amazing! They picked us up (a group of 16!) at our Hotel. We thought we were just getting a ride to our destination points (Coimbra and Obidos) but instead we got the best tour guides around! Nuno got us reservations to an amazing authentic Portuguese restaurant. He then brought us to a Ginjha maker (5 generations) who let us taste it…..BTW it was delicious. I would highly recommend getting this ride.
Rui our tour guide picked us up and took us on a wonderful trip around the Douro valley. He was super kind and gave us a ton of memorable moments. Our first stop at the top of the Duoro look out point was unique and special. We were able to get cofffee and breakfast before our boat tour (which was beautiful). Our wine tour at the Foz was fun and we were able to drink some regional wines. Lastly, the lunch with Rui and friends was special. Claudia was super kind and gave us a great selection of wines. We were blessed with a great group of hosts and a great tour guide in Rui. Would highly recommend going on this.

I had a great time in the Douro Valley. A few people cancelled last minute and I was the only person available to go. I’m so glad Wonder Tours and my guide Rui chose to keep the tour even though it would have been understandable to cancel. Rui was an excellent guide, always accommodating, and provided a lot of information about the region and Portugal in general. The included boat tour was nice and I especially enjoyed the meal and wine at the last stop. Having passed a number of the larger, less expensive tours, I’m glad I spent a little more for the small group. I only wish I had more time in the area! Many thanks to Rui for making it a memorable time.
