João Jesus was our guide. He was very friendly and incredibly knowledgeable about the wineries, the local sights, Portuguese history, etc. The lunch was so special. This was a great value and convenient. João picked us up from our hotel. This is a must go-to tour to experience the wine country.

My husband, son and myself had a wonderful Cultural experience with Alfredo today. He drove us to Douro Vally where we sipped wine and tasted olive oil at D'Origem winery with an absolutely breathtaking view of the vineyards. Alfredo went above and beyond to make our day special and to make sure we saw all the beautiful sites on our drive. He was very knowledgeable about the area. We ate the most amazing local portuguese meal at a restaurant he took us to. Sorry I cant remember the name. We felt safe and comfortable the whole drive. He is a good driver and has a ton of personality. We will definitely ask for him again when we come back. We had a perfect day! A 10 for sure.

Full Day tour with João to the Douro Valley was an absolutely spectacular experience!!! It was a private tour with just my husband and I . João gave a us a day to remember for the rest of our lives . We had a stop at a beautiful town called Amarante. The winery tasting he chose was amazing , wine, and view. Then he asked us what we preferred for lunch, asked him where he would go? João brought us to a quaint restaurant with an amazing view. They were packed with locals, and we were the only tourists , so let me tell you the food was delish!!!!!! Then we he took us to another famous Port winery and had another tasting with a sick view .. Ask for João if you book this trip his company is a relaxed pleasure !!!!

We booked this tour through Viator and Tiago (Santiago) picked us up with a happy, fun, engaging personality. We had a blast and the Douro Valley is a sight to behold. Unbelievably beautiful and DEEP. The mountain sides were beautifully terraced vineyards in every direction. It was a great day and we highly recommend making this trip!

Fantastic day visiting the Douro with our Guide /Driver João Jesus who provided historical facts about the wineries and towns. Our tour in a comfortable Mercedes sedan included a wine tasting / tour, River cruise and wonderful lunch at a family restaurant. It was obvious that Joao is well known to all the Douro operators we had the pleasure of meeting.
