You will take the hike starting with the descent by the Sirimon route takes one through some beautiful forest tracks and completes the traverse of the mountain. You will see some amazing unharmful animals on the way to the mountain if you are lucky. Itinerary
You will be picked from your hotel in Nairobi at around 6.00am in the morning to start off for the day hike in Mt Kenya. Drive along the Nairobi-Nyeri route through the coffee highlands of central Kenya. You will have a stop at Karatina town for a cup of coffee to light up the moods of the day. Continue with the journey arriving on time in Naro Moro Gate where the day hike begins. You will be briefed about the tour by your guide where you will drive in 4×4 minivan to Naro Moro TRACK TO Met station where the hike begins. Continue with the rain forest hike up the mountain with a guide to see the birds and animals in the forest. You will climb up to the Met station where you will have your packed lunch as you enjoy the spectacular view of the park and as the guide explain informatively about the vegetation and the park. Start your way back to the park arriving back at the Naro Moro gate. Our driver will then drive you back to Nairobi after the arriving in time at your hotel.

We had quick booking since we had limit time so we booked at last minute. Joseph was at the pick up location on time and a smoth drive to mt.kenya. Hiking was well done dispute was raining but Joseph was motivation maker. Thank team valley rocks and a great guide....

It is very pricy for the very short hike. In addition the fee from the company, I had to pay for entrance fees to the park for myself, the driver, the guide, and the vehicle! The guide gave me wrong information so I also got charged two transaction fees. So, in all, I ended up paying around $700 for a 1.5 hour hike. They also tried to skip the lunch that was included.

I and my friends travelled Mt Kenya for hiking,we were guided by our tour guide John. We climbed the mountain and saw types of rocks and the snow at the peak. The mountain was so cool where by the environment changed and we were to wear jackets for the warmth. We walked for a distance and the environment was greenish and cool.
