Egypt. Masr. Misr. Kemet. For centuries, the land of the pharaohs has captivated the popular imagination. And so it happened that it captivated mine as well. Ever since I saw the animated film "The Prince of Egypt" nearly 28 years ago, I knew that I had to visit this beautiful land, at least once in this lifetime. And so it happened that my family and I had the good fortune to do so this July 2026. And while we were only there for a total of three days, it seemed so much longer. From the moment we landed, we knew that we were in good hands thanks to our tour guide, Mahmoud. My dad contacted him based off of my mom's friend's recommendation, one that we came to realize was truly well-earned. Mahmoud was polite, professional, and exceptionally organized. It couldn't have been easy to fit all that we wanted to see & do-Saqqara, the Giza Pyramids & the Sphinx, the Grand Egyptian Museum & the Museum of Civilization, the Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan, the Khan El-Khalili Market, a boat ride on the Nile, and the added bonus of the Citadel-in only three days. But he managed to do so with great aplomb by planning an itinerary that was busy and yet, not exhausting. Mahmoud guided us through the sights and also gave us plenty of time to explore them ourselves. We never once felt rushed-a great relief to say the least! In addition, he really took the time to get to know us and showed my parents, my brother, and I a mixture of the historical Egypt as well as the real Egypt of today (Koshari Abu Tarek was a tasty example of this). We felt more like travelers rather than tourists, which is, the point of travel. Now, although our trip was a little on the pricey side, my family and I feel that we got our money's worth. In fact, we often mentioned to one another that it wouldn't have been possible to see and do so much in Egypt without an experienced tour guide such as Mahmoud. He is very good at what he does. And so, while our trip to Egypt only lasted three days, we feel that it was so much more. The quality of the trip far surpassed its length, and we will forever look back on this experience with the fondest of memories. Shukran, Mahmoud, for a job well done! - :) - Mariam
Excellent and memorable experience. Free complimentary lunches and visited so many historical places within 3 days.
My experience in Egypt with Mahmoud was 10/10. In three days in Cairo, we saw the tombs and pyramid at Saqqara, the Citadel of Saladin and Muhammad Ali Mosque, the ruins at Memphis, the great pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx, multiple museums, Sultan Hassan Mosque, Khan El-Khalili Market, Al-Azhar mosque--you get the idea. Exploring this much of Cairo in such a short time would have been impossible without all the planning and organization that Mahmoud handled so that my family and I didn't have to worry at all about where to go, how to get there, where to have food etc. He allowed us to enjoy the trip without a single worry, all at a very reasonable package price. I highly recommend Mahmoud and his services if you plan to visit Egypt!
From hotel pickup to drop off, I had a good experience exploring the Pyramids and Grand museum with Ismail, a very experienced guide. Highly recommend.
Mahmoud is a true champion, I would recommend him to anyone looking for a guide and/or tour in Giza, Cairo or beyond. He is extremely knowledgeable, adaptable to your needs (i walk fast and don’t like to dawdle) and is just generally an awesome guy. He gave me an awesome tour of Giza, including genuine advice on what to do vs not do, and at each step he was spot on. My only regret, and this is 100% my fault, is that I booked through my hotel and didn’t book directly with Mahmoud. I will be recommending Mahmoud to all of my friends that visit Egypt and I would confidently recommend him to anyone interested in the best tour experience possible. Do not even think about going with someone else, you will not be disappointed. Thank you for an amazing time, Mahmoud. You rock.
Catches the vibe and works with you to make trips happen. If your looking for someone to show you the highlights of Egypt on short notice, who will also make time to set up romantic meals on the nile and is suave with getting whatever passes you need, he is the guy!
Our hotel recommended our wonderful tour guide, Mahmoud, to us when we asked about a private tour of the pyramids and he did not disappoint! He taught us so much about their history, took the most beautiful photos for us and moved through the sites effortlessly, bringing us to all of the most iconic and beautiful locations in the complex. We opted to do a lunch cruise, visit the Grand Egyptian Museum and the Citadel the following day with him and had the absolute best time. We were able to see all of these incredible sites in a timely manner and still make our evening flight. He planned our day carefully so we could see highlights from all of the most amazing areas of Cairo and he made it a trip we will never forget! Can't wait to come back with our extended families and do it all again!
We had a fantastic day. Very efficient tour that moved at our pace
