Incredibly seamless experience. Booking underground tickets on my own seemed very challenging to easily get the exact time and date I wanted. On the day of the tour, we were divided into small groups of 6. Giovanni was our guide and wow - he knew all the secret paths, tricks to being most efficient and giving us some cool behind the scenes looks as well as all the best shade spots. Honestly Giovanni alone made this tour worth it. He is amazing. Thank you!!

Very friendly tour guide. Provided a lot of history on the construction and history of the building. If you are looking for an education, he’s your guy! If you only do the colosseum and not the forum, be sure to let him know BEFORE leaving the colosseum so that you can explore on your own We didn’t realize we were leaving the colosseum until it was too late It was our fault for not letting him know

This tour is great. Our guide Alex was welcoming from the start and very knowledgeable. We learned so much about the Colosseum and surrounding areas. We had a very manageable group of 12 people and Alex made sure everyone saw everything. Being on the Arena floor and looking up and imagining what it must have been like for Gladiators or slaves of the time is mind blowing. Learning about just how smart Romans were for their time is next level. I would recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see the Colosseum from all angles and get a great history lesson in the process. 5 Stars

We toured the colosseum with Eni in early June 2026 and had a wonderful experience. We saw the coolest parts of the landmark, and learned all about the types of entertainment held there. Eni made it accessible, understandable, and most of all enjoyable! Our two boys, ages 21 and 18, gave it 10/10 stars, and we agree!

I booked the Colosseum Underground Tour for my Boyfriend and Myself and it was genuinely one of the highlights of our trip to Rome. From start to finish, the experience was organised, engaging, and full of fascinating detail that you simply wouldn’t get wandering around on your own. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable – not just reciting facts, but bringing the history to life with stories, context, and humour. You could tell he was passionate about Roman history, and it made such a difference. He was great at answering questions and making sure everyone in the group could see and hear clearly (you are given microphone packs so you're connected to him at all times - very useful considering how busy it is in there). The underground section was absolutely worth it and felt so surreal. The restricted areas gave us a completely different perspective of the Colosseum, and the guide explained the engineering and daily life behind the scenes in a way that was easy to understand but still really in-depth. The tour included access to the arena floor and the upper levels, which offered amazing photo opportunities as well as a much quieter experience away from the crowds. Overall, Roman Guides made the whole experience smooth, informative, and memorable. Honestly couldn't recommend these guys enough :) Just as a tip - wear comfy shoes because there is a lot of walking and lasts for a few hours! * If you get a chance - Check out Drunken History Tours as well - We booked this as an extra after we had the colosseum tour. If you're looking for a fun bar hop, pizza and history about love in ancient Rome you'll definitely enjoy it as much as we did. Prepare to be very tipsy at the end of the night <3
