Alessandra was such an amazing guide and person. Very knowledgeable and even in scorching heat she didnt let the heat beat her. She is a real deal. Bravo..
Wow wow wow amazing from start to finish, our tour guide was amazing, She made the whole experience so Exciting and she was so well informed about everything it was an amazing experience I would highly recommend !!!!
Overall, we had a very good experience and enjoyed the tour. One thing to be aware of is that this company appears to be a reseller rather than the actual tour operator. They assign your booking to another local company, so your experience may vary depending on which guide and operator you ultimately get. In our case, everything went smoothly. The meeting instructions were clear, the transfer to the guide was seamless, and our guide was knowledgeable and engaging. The Colosseum and Roman Forum were incredible to see, and having a guide added a lot of historical context that we wouldn't have gotten on our own. My only suggestion would be to make it a little clearer at the time of booking that another company may actually conduct the tour. Other than that, everything was well organized, and we were happy with the experience.
Our tour guide Alessandra was amazing. She was very knowledgeable and passionate about the history. It was very hot in August, but she was great about making sure everyone had plenty to drink and took breaks.
My dad and I took this tour and we were lucky enough to have Alessandra; to provide context, we are in the middle of a heat wave in Italy, so walking for hours in the sun is not very pleasant, yet we don't know how, Alessandra made it possible, the time flew by, we all got to know each other in the group, we made so many stops to rest and drink water that neither the youngest nor the oldest in the group felt exhausted or unable to continue the tour. But above all, we learned a lot and in a very didactic way; we all loved the passion with which our guide told the stories, and it was the most remarkable part of our trip. Thank you, Alessandra!
The colosseum, palatine hill, etc. were amazing to see up close, and they sell themselves. The guide was nice, and had a PhD, but wasn't the most personable, and it felt more like a data download than an engaging learning experience. In contrast, we had other experiences/tours in the past few days where the host really makes the event.
It was a great experience and guide Enzo was really good
Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, and gave a fantastic tour of the Colosseum. Our transportation from the port of Civitavecchia ran late, so we missed the Forum and Palatine Hill. Thankfully, we were able to connect with our tour operator and join in for the Colosseum. We appreciated them being so accommodating!!
We loved the tour, and Leo was a great guide. The only thing that stressed us out in the beginning is that no one was waiting for our group with a pink flag at the meeting point like they were supposed to. Someone in the company just didn’t show up that day. We were looking around for about ten minutes, seeing all other tours gathering at that meeting point except for ours. Thankfully, our group members found each other, and then the administrator found our group and introduced us to our guide Leo who gave us a fantastic tour. So it all worked out well in the end despite the original scare.
Great experience and we learned a lot! We booked this tour last minute because our original tour moved us from 8am to 1pm. Aphrodite was a great tour guide!
