Enter the Colosseum through the restricted entrance of the Arena Floor. During our 2/5-hour tour, your guide will walk you through the Colosseum, while explaining the true brilliance behind its engineering. Your tour will then lead you on a journey through the Palatine Hill and the Roman Forum where you will be able to admire the incredible ruins, and enjoy panoramic views of the Colosseum. Learn the history behind Rome's magnificent amphitheater and all that surrounds it. The iconic structure was built as a gift to the Roman citizens, to stage various forms of entertainment and to showcase Roman engineering techniques to the rest of the world. The Colosseum featured over 80 entrances and could accommodate around 50,000 spectators. When the Colosseum was in active use, festivals as well as games could last up to 100 days. Please note: Guests under 18, may be required to show ID upon entering the sites. Guests without ID cannot be guaranteed entrance.

- It is forbidden to bring inside the Colosseum: glass, sharp objects, alcohol, spray
- Customers need to show up at our office in via della Polveriera 13 in order to join this tour
- Comfortable shoes are recommended
- In July and August due to the heat the duration of the visit is 2 hours and a half
- Upon choosing our guided tour, you acknowledge and accept that the admission fee to the archaeological sites of the arena is 22 euros for adults, accompanied by a 2 EUR booking fee, and free admission ticket for children under 18. The remaining amount is voluntary and includes services provided by skilled licensed guides, headsets, booking fees, and other tour amenities. Our goal is to provide transparency and ensure your understanding of the cost breakdown, allowing you to fully recognize the value of our guided experience.

Giuseppe was a wonderful guide! He gave us information as we were walking, paced us well so we made our entry times, and gave us time/directed us to places to fill up our water or find shade (we visited during the August heatwave). He was very knowledgeable on his information, too. Make sure to book the extra portion of the tour because you do not get onto the arena floor without a higher level ticket and it is a very cool experience!

Incredible really insightful especially having had a archaeologist give us a great tour with history coming to life around the Paletine hill, Roman forum and the colleseum I couldn’t reccomend our guide more who was called Valerio cane. Rest assured if he is giving you the guide you are in the best of hands

Sara was our tour guide today at 8:30 am for the Colosseum I did not find her to be a very good tour guide at all one. I did not care that she was tired and only had had a few hours sleep and she needed to do the tour and that’s why she was there. Too at the same time while she’s doing the tour people are asking her information and she’s making phone calls to one of her friends to make arrangements for another couple inside our tour that wanted to do something later on. We did not care about this. This was not our business and we did all not need to hear this the whole 25 of us. I felt that she ramble on a bit too much and didn’t give us proper history of the whole entire tour I definitely did not recommend her and I think that you need to speak to her about this. We listen to other two guides as we were walking past and they were showing things to them that our guy did not even show us at all and while she’s doing the tour, she’s on her phone texting as well. I did not pay nearly over $450 to see that.
