Tour itself was very interesting&informative. Joe was very nice&bus was clean BUT AC not sufficient on bus& everyone was hot. Except for that it was a good length tour and fun.
This isn’t an informative tour at all. It’s very surface level with no information about the rich history of New Orleans and the true local experiences of Katrina. I’ve been on tours that go into more details and it can be life changing. If you want to know about big trees and distances between houses this is the tour for you. It was so lackluster that the people on the bus started talking amongst themselves. This was a huge miss. Also, the AC was not the best. You’ve been warned!!!
We thoroughly enjoyed this city tour and would highly recommend it. Joseph, our bus driver and guide, was excellent—friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about his home city of New Orleans. He shared so many interesting facts and stories throughout the tour, making it both informative and enjoyable. We visited a cemetery and learned about New Orleans’ unique burial traditions, saw areas affected by Hurricane Katrina, passed many historic homes with fascinating stories about their residents, and got a great overview of the city beyond the French Quarter. There was also a stop for delicious beignets with plenty of time to enjoy them. A really interesting trip that gave us a much better understanding of New Orleans.
We were hoping to learn about the history of New Orleans and we learned more about bars and restaurants. It was just a rambling of bars/restaurants. Those suggestions could have been placed on a piece of paper. We are wondering if the driver is endorsed by Popeyes because that was his main joke. We were also then asked at the cemetery stop by someone getting on the bus to buy pralines. For the places we stopped we didn’t know how to find or go back to explore them as we didn’t even know how we got there as we didn’t have any information ahead of time what we were visiting.
We had an amazing experience on the City Tour of New Orleans with Southern Style Tours! First off, great discounted price via Tripadvisor, but after being on the tour, if I had paid full price, would’ve been well worth it! Bob, our driver and tour guide - so knowledgeable about the city; gave us a lot of tips on where to eat, shared his own personal experiences and kept the group interested and laughing the whole way! he’s also a very safe driver! The bus was well air conditioned and comfortable. My dad, who has mobility issues and uses a 4 wheeled walker, and didn’t get off/on the bus, was still able to enjoy the tour from the comfort of the front seat on the bus! The 3hrs flew by fast! Got to see some interesting points of interest and Bob gave a lot of fun facts about the city. It’s a great way to get an introduction to New Orleans, highly recommend!
Bob was an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable and super friendly and helpful! Great tour, learned a lot while staying cool!
It’s a good historical tour particularly regarding Hurricane Katrina! Also, there were great recommendations on jazz bars and places to eat!
Although Joseph, the tour is quite knowledgeable about the city of New Orleans. He can be unpleasant to others and take his frustrations out on the wrong people due to a lack of communication on his company's behave.
My family and I enjoyed our tour with Joseph. He was so knowledgeable and made sure that everyone was taken care of. The tour was affordable and so convenient for our group, which included elderly person with walker. I’m so happy that we decided to book this tour.
Learned a lot about the history of New Orleans. Got to see a cemetery and some of the mansions in the French Quarters. I knew how devastating the hurricane was but see how wide spread it was, was sad.
