Mayan civilization cherished cenotes and had a deep connection to them as sacred locations that not only connected the whole peninsula, but also had a deeper meaning. Get yourself ready to enjoy the refreshing waters of one the very best typical Mayan cenotes in the region at Hacienda Selva Maya which is well known by the spectacular formation of its cenote, and will be the place where you would conveniently have lunch while enjoying nature.
Valladolid is a small-town where you can take a short walk in the plaza, track down some authentic local desserts or just take some pictures at this snapshot into Mexican culture This short stop will provide you with a more history and knowledge of the Yucatan peninsula.

Important Information
- Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
- Service animals allowed
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Children 2 and younger are complimentary when accompanied by a paying adult.
- You must be able to walk at a leisurely pace for approximately 1.5miles (2km) and be able to climb and descend stairs.
- An additional surcharge of US$40 (800MXN) for international travelers, US$25 (500MXN) for Mexican citizens and US$6 (120MXN) for children regardless their nationality are payable in cash on the day of your activity.
- Roundtrip transportation is available from most centrally located Cancun, Playa Mujeres, Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen and Riviera Maya Hotels. If transportation is not purchased you will be asked to meet at one of the designated meeting points.
- Hotel pickup from Tulum hotels is not available. Passengers staying at Tulum Hotels must meet the tour at the designated meeting point.
- Please be ready and waiting in your hotel lobby or meeting point 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick-up time.
- You should bring swimwear, towel, a change of clothes, sunscreen, insect repellent and spending cash for incidentals.

Our day was awesome! We got our own private transportation from Abbi and he was very friendly and he answered so many of our questions about Chichén Itzá, Cancun and Mexico. Everything was handled by Abbi, we did not have to figure out anything on our own. The lunch buffet that was included was surprisingly one of my favorite meals of my trip!! Abbi spoke both Spanish and English which was great for our group.

We had Karla as a guide and she came with her whole family, daughters included. We had to wait for her twice in the coach because the time she said we had to be all and insisted on punctuality she did not fulfill it, the first time because she had to change the swimsuit to her daughter in the cenote and the second to buy them dinner. The only one worth the driver. Good thing the cenote and Chichen Itza loved it.

If not for the tour guide (Gaby) who was great and very knowledgable, we would have given one star. The tour operator confirmed our booking and exact pickup time & location the day before, after days of trying to confirm earlier, but left us standing for an hour at the confirmed pick-up location before I had to call them. Only then they claimed the pickup location was somewhere else. No apology or offer to pick us up to join the rest of the tour, only a refund or vouchers (that we couldn't use again). It was rescheduled at great inconvenience, and if it wasn't for the tour guide on the day, we would have been thoroughly disappointed. Also; don't be fooled by the cost of entering Chichen Itza archeological zone - yes, it is extra to the tour price (unless you paid for all-inclusive) but, the price per-person is only MXN$614.00 as of 24 Dec, 2024, not the MXN$900.00 we were trying to be charged. If they're claiming it's for 'fast-track entry', we still got in to the park before the rest of the tour. I would highly recommend the tour - a great day out for the family but, I would chose a difference tour operator.

I really had bad experience with them. They provided us wrong pick up location and driver ended up going to some other location. They don’t even contact you if you don’t show up. They just leave. The number that provided was not reachable. I called customer service he kept ignoring us on the phone. We asked them to reschedule he couldn’t help us with that.

Abbi was an excellent guide for the day. He picked us up from our hotel on time, was a safe driver, answered all of our questions about the local area, and arranged for all of our tickets and plans for the day. He provided clear and detailed information for us at each stop and was flexible with the needs of our own family. Francisco was our guide at Chichen Itza and he was deeply knowledgeable and taught us more than we would have learned walking around on our own.
