Itinerary

180 min

The experience begins in Cancun with pickup from your accommodation or confirmed meeting point. Once travelers are welcomed aboard, the route heads toward Yucatán and the Chichen Itza area, opening the day with the feeling of leaving the Caribbean coast behind and moving toward one of Mexico’s most important cultural regions. This first part of the tour gives travelers time to settle in and get ready for a day of ancient history, regional food, cenote waters, and colonial scenery.

180 min

Before reaching the main archaeological site, the route includes a short stop near points of interest close to Chichen Itza. During this part of the day, travelers will also enjoy a buffet lunch at a nearby restaurant, with time to taste regional dishes and traditional Mexican flavors. After lunch, the group will continue on foot toward the main access point of Chichen Itza, accompanied by the guides. Once inside, travelers will join an approximately 1-hour guided visit through this ancient Maya city, learning about its history, cultural meaning, architecture, and daily life during the Maya world. After the guided portion, travelers will have about 1 hour of free time to walk through the site independently, take photos, and experience the atmosphere of one of the most recognized archaeological landmarks in Mexico.

180 min

After the archaeological experience, the tour continues toward Cenote Saamal (It will take approximately 1 hour to get there), a beautiful freshwater cenote surrounded by the natural landscapes of Yucatán. This part of the day adds a refreshing change of rhythm after exploring stone temples, open plazas, and ancient history. Cenotes held special meaning in ancient Maya culture, often connected with sacred beliefs and the natural world beneath the surface. At Cenote Saamal, travelers will have time to enjoy the clear waters, swim, cool off, and take in one of the most unique natural settings of the peninsula. At the end, we will head to the beautiful historic city of Valladolid; the return trip will take approximately 1 hour.

60 min

The final stop takes travelers to Valladolid, a charming colonial city known for its colorful streets, peaceful atmosphere, traditional architecture, and rich Yucatecan identity. This visit brings a local and cultural closing touch to the day after the ruins and cenote. Travelers will have approximately 30 to 45 minutes of free time to walk around the area, take photos, admire the colonial surroundings, and enjoy the authentic character of this historic town before beginning the return journey.

120 min

After the visit to Valladolid, travelers will board the transportation again for the return toward Cancun and the Riviera Maya. This final part of the experience closes the day with time to rest after a full route through Maya history, regional cuisine, refreshing cenote waters, and colonial charm. The return trip to Cancun and Riviera Maya hotels are approximately 2 hours.

Important Information

  • Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
  • Public transportation options are available nearby
  • Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
  • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
  • Bringing luggage is only possible when the vehicle assigned to your service has enough space and our team authorizes it in advance. Please contact us before your tour if you need to travel with luggage, so we can review your assigned transportation and confirm whether it may be accepted. Space is limited, and approval is never guaranteed.
  • Since April 21, 2026, archaeological sites in Mexico have enforced security rules that do not allow visitors to enter with backpacks or luggage. We suggest carrying only the essentials for the visit, preferably small items that can fit in your pockets or in a compact personal bag. Some exceptions may apply, such as diaper bags, but the final decision is made by the security personnel at the site. We are not responsible for any belongings that are refused at the entrance. For this tour, however, travelers may leave their items inside the transportation vehicle while completing the scheduled stops.
  • During tour stops, guests may only access the transportation vehicle when the guide or staff indicates the official boarding time. Entering the vehicle earlier or staying inside while the rest of the group is away is not allowed, since other travelers may have personal belongings stored inside. This policy is applied for security reasons and to protect everyone’s items.
  • Vehicles and seats for group transportation are assigned by the operations team based on the availability and organization of the day. Guests cannot personally choose a specific bus, minibus, or seat online, in person, or with our staff. Although we always try to help travelers ride comfortably, we cannot hold, reserve, or guarantee exact seats or spaces inside a particular vehicle.
  • If you are traveling with friends, family, or another party booked under a separate reservation and you would like to ride together, please inform our team in advance so we can check what is possible. We will try to coordinate it when all travelers depart from the same accommodation, although it cannot be guaranteed. If the pickup locations are in the same city but at different hotels, we may attempt to arrange it, but traveling together is not assured. If the reservations start from different cities, this coordination cannot be handled.
  • This tour only operates pickups from the cities and areas listed in the Transportation section. Travelers cannot join the tour directly at Chichen Itza, at any attraction included in the itinerary, or at any location outside the authorized pickup regions. For example, meeting the group at Chichen Itza with your own vehicle is not permitted. However, requesting pickup from a hotel located within the listed service areas (example: Moon Palace resort) may be possible. For safety, communication, and proper tour organization, all travelers must meet our team in the morning at the assigned pickup location, board our transportation service, and complete the required check in process before the tour begins.
  • If your booking does not yet include a confirmed hotel or assigned meeting point, this information must be sent to our team before the cutoff time on the day before your tour. From Monday to Saturday, the latest time to provide it is 21:50 hrs (GMT-5). On Sundays, the latest time is 8:00 PM (GMT-5). You may send this information through any of our available contact channels. After the cutoff time, last minute pickup arrangements can no longer be processed. If the required hotel or meeting point details are not received on time, the booking will automatically be moved to the next available date. This rescheduling is free of charge and does not include any penalty or additional fee. However, once this automatic rescheduling applies, the reservation will no longer qualify for a refund.
  • The times shown in the itinerary refer to the overall duration of each segment, including transportation between locations, the visit or activity time at the stop, and the time needed to continue or return along the route. These times should not be understood as the exact amount of time spent only at each attraction. Please review the itinerary details for the approximate breakdown of timing throughout the experience.
  • Our team always works to follow the planned schedule as closely as possible. However, the timing of the tour also depends on travelers being ready at the assigned pickup time in the morning and returning on time at each stop during the day. Traffic conditions may also affect the route and are outside our control. Please help us keep the experience organized by respecting the indicated meeting times and the time allowed at each location. Even a delay that seems small, such as arriving one minute late, can build up throughout the day and affect a significant part of the overall schedule.
  • The box lunch included in this experience is fixed. It is served as part of the regular meal option and cannot be adapted for special diets, food restrictions, or personal meal preferences.
  • This tour involves a lot of walking, so we recommend wearing comfortable shoes and clothing.
  • The included lunch is a buffet of regional Mexican food and you are free to choose what you want to eat. This buffet contains options for vegetarians (it is not yet adaptable for other specific dietary regimes).

A terrible experience with hotel pick up.

A exact hotel pick up location (meeting point) should be provided by the representative agent. It's our first time in Cancun. I asked on WhatsApp one day before the tour re. exact hotel pick up point and no one provided. We started to wait at the hotel front door 10 minutes early before the pick up time. By the pick up time, I received a WhatsApp message said the pick up car at the down hill ramp of the hotel left and we needed to go to a meeting point by ourselves with an Uber at our own cost. Luckily we managed to get there by time and didn't miss the tour. What a terrible experience!!! the one start is for the tour bus driver and tour guide. They are pretty good with their job.

Excellent tour

Excellent tour! We visited some incredible places and had delicious Mayan hand-made food which was beyond tasty. The tour and the staff were incredible! My only negative was the obnoxious and rude French guys sat behind me who made the experience a little less enjoyable for me and others on the bus.

I loved the tour, the cenote was wonderful, I highly recommend it

We had such a great time on this tour with our friends! Chichen Itza was honestly breathtaking, seeing it in person hits different. Our guide was super chill and made the history interesting without making it feel like a school lesson. The Mayan buffet was really tasty and we loved trying new local dishes. The cenote was definitely one of the highlights, the water was super refreshing and we just relaxed, swam, and laughed together. Valladolid was a cute little town to walk around and take photos. Everything felt smooth and well organized, no stress at all. It was a long day but totally worth it. So many good memories, we’d 100% do it again

I loved this tour, my family and I had an amazing time and I would definitely do it again without a doubt.

A perfect tour for the whole family! We had an amazing day visiting Chichen Itza, it was incredible to see the pyramid in person and the guide shared Mayan history in a way that was clear, fun, and easy for everyone to understand, even the kids. The Mayan buffet after was delicious and a great chance to try local dishes. The cenote was one of our favorite parts of the day, the water was super refreshing and perfect for relaxing and having fun toghether. To wrap it up, the stop in Valladolid was lovely, a beautiful town to walk around, take photos, and buy a few souveniers. Everything was very well organized, the transportation was confortable, and the guide was always attentive. This is a complete, cultural, and family friendly tour that we would definetly recommend
