Horrible tour. The description stated air on van or bus. We traveled in an open top no air on bus with just 6 people on the tour. The driver was rude upon pick up stating”I don’t listen” as I tried to confirm details before I got on the bus. The tour was 4 hrs mostly in Spanish , nothing remarkable just talking. The driver stopped at the bank and to get ice. No water available after walking at the ruin. No mention of what was at the ruin you just had to read the signs. The other 2 stops were tourist traps to buy souvenirs. The tour mentions stopping at a tequila museum.. it was literally a room at the tourist trap with a movie playing.. same for the chocolate museum. Worst tour ever. 4 hours of wasted time. We were ready to find our way back to the hotel after hour 1.
If your thinking this sounds like a good family activity think again and look elsewhere. Tour started an hour late. Never received a call. They texted after 15 minutes and 15 minutes after that Miguel the organizer said the tour guide was at my hotel but he was not and Miguel stopped answering my text. Finally after an hour. It was loud music, no one was guiding and I purchased the English tour to find out it was Spanish/english. I understand Spanish didn’t mind. Then I realized the Spanish guide was much more informational then his English version and that was not helpful to my English only family. No tequila museum, no tequila tasting, no chocolate tasting and we waisted a day going to 2 shopping mini marts abs the Meca. Not worth my $270 for family of 3. Avoid this tour.
The tour began on time with no one-hour delay as claimed. Our team made multiple phone calls to update you about your transportation. We did not receive any text messages or other communication attempts from your side. The majority of the group spoke English, and the guide conducted the tour accordingly. Your claim that the guide only spoke Spanish is simply false. In fact, the guide made efforts to include everyone, and any Spanish used was minimal and intended to accommodate the few travelers who preferred it. It is disappointing to see such a misrepresentation. There is no mention of a tequila museum in our tour description. The experience clearly includes a tequila and chocolate tasting, which was delivered exactly as advertised. To suggest otherwise is not accurate. You participated in the entire tour, including the tastings, the guided visit to the ruins, and the shopping stops. You chose to leave only at the very end. After completing the full itinerary, you requested a full refund, which was declined for valid reasons. We welcome honest feedback, but we also have a responsibility to correct misinformation. Our team works hard to deliver a quality experience, and it is important that reviews reflect what actually took place.
Driving thru the actual communities and seeing the locals way of life. And the guide giving history of Mexico!
Cancun is much more than just hotels, the urban life is filled with culture that you won't be able to see staying in a hotel We are glad that you got to see it first hand, we hope to welcome you again soon!
I received confirmations the day before each pickup. They were prompt, professional, and friendly. I’d definitely use them again.
We appreciate the kind words, for us i'ts important to be on time, clear and professional with our pick ups and tours We are glad that you enjoyed the experience!
We had a great day with a variety of activities on this excursion. Our guide Hagan was great, and we learned a lot from him. The driver probably saved us 20 minutes by avoiding an on-ramp packed with cars due to an accident. The ruins were very interesting, and Hagan explained a lot about the Mayan culture. We stopped at a cool little outdoor church right on the ocean. The first shopping stop was in a touristy area and everything was marked up quite a bit, but we got to sample some awesome Mexican chocolate. The Habanero chocolate was very spicy but very good! The cenote was really cool. A little small and there were no caves to explore but you could jump about 20 feet into it or zip-line drop into it. Bring your own towels and snorkle gear as none were provided. After the cenote we had the option of going to a tourist "restaurant" or a place where the locals go and everyone wanted the latter. This was the best Mexican food I've ever had, and it was probably my favorite meal of the whole trip (and I was staying at an AI resort with gourmet food)!.Their specialty is pork and they use all parts of the pig. The fried pig skins were the best I've ever had, and the guacamole was very spicy and delicious! We absolutely loved it! The market shopping at the end was kind of neat but be prepared to haggle your ass off to get a fair price. Even at the bar where we were overcharged for a couple of beers. You need to watch out closely for pretty much any kind of exchange. We stopped at a local convenience store on the way back to the hotel. We watched the lady ring up four drinks which we paid for, and then she tried to tell us we had only paid for one. All in all though it was kind of a long day but the lunch alone was worth it!! The staff were great and we learned a lot.
Thank you so much for your preference, and all your comments we really appreciate the time you took to give us such nice and complete review of the tour!! We keep working every day to make Cancun city tour always the best tour for all of you:)
Long day. Pick up was on time 845 am Tour guide Jaga spoke English well and narrated the tour in both English and Spanish. Expected to be back at resort at 5pm. However due to drop off on Playa del Carmen we were much longer than expected. Did not return to resort until 730 pm, considering it was a tour centered around Cancun and Puerto Morelos we spent many hours on the bus For the activities provided this tour was not a good value for the cost
Thank you so much, Ms. Loretta, for your comments, we feel very sorry for the inconvenient with the traffic and the drop-off, these comments are going to help us to improve our services. I hope you give us the chance to make it up to you next vacation.
It was amazing! They did very well. My friend lost her glasses in the cenote and she jumped on the water and found them. She was amazing. I recommended my friends to go when they go next year March.
Thank you for your comments and your recommendations and thank you for visiting Cancun .
If you want to see mayan ruins in a more peaceful setting where is it not as busy, then this is the tour for you. In a smaller group of only 5 people, it was a lovely day trip. Included cancun bus tour, shopping, mayan ruins, mexican food, walk around puerto moreles and swimming in a cenote. The cenote was amazing, a must do activity in mexico! Gustav was our tour guide, he was very knowledgable and proud of his home country. Had a great day, would definitely do this again.
Thank you for your comments we appreciate your visit , we will continue providing the service with passion , regards .
this is a nice and relaxing tour, if you are not much of a water sport people this is a great alternative.
Thank you so much Kathy, was a pleasure for us to be able to show you a bit of our culture. We really appreciate your visit.
I really enjoyed this excursion except for the shopping at Market 28. I think the pricing was to high and not worth the value. I would have rather spent more time at the flea market. Other than that, the trip was great and very informative. The mayan ruins were impressive. I highly suggest you take insect spray. I really enjoyed swimming at the cenote. The water was great.
Thank you for your comments, Nancy, we will continue doing our job with passion and keep make it better. Thanks for sharing your experience with us. See you soon!
