Columbia Icefield trip was excellent

The trip was excellent. It was startd and ended on time. The driver was very knowledgeable and friendly. He guided us to each location. There was plenty of time to visit and enjoy each location. Columbia Icefield activities were mesmerising. Skywalk, glaciers activities were excellent. We had enough time to complete all activities. The trip was nicely organized and well planned. Thank you so much for organizing a wonderful trip.

Harrowing ride home

The sights we saw were great, but the driver of the bus was 30 min. late with no notice from the company. The buses aren't clearly marked so it was hard to determine which one was yours. The driver didn't really tell us much as to where or when we were going to get there until we reached the first destination. I assume since we were running late he was in a hurry to get home. He drove 85 to 90 mph. most of the way home and there were no seat belts that were easily accessible. He never told us how to use the seat belts if there were any. It was a very unsafe and nervous ride back.

Very nice driver and tour guide

The tour was great overall! There was a small mix-up at the beginning, but they quickly arranged another tour for me with Amandeep as my guide. I especially want to thank Amandeep—he was very kind, responsible, and quick to respond. He also offered to take photos for me throughout the trip, which I really appreciated. I had such a great time. Thank you, Amandeep!

The most horrible experience

I’ve been traveling with many different local tour companies through Viator for years. As a rule, I never had bad experiences. But this time, on July 13, 2026, it was different - a very bad experience! It was a tour from Calgary to Columbia Icefield and Skywalk. The tour guide, Sam, was a wonderful man, who tried his best. He was kind, helpful, and professional - no complaints there at all. But that’s where it all ended and what started was the following: 1. Our bus was late, so a different bus had to deliver us to some point where we were picked up by Sam. 2. That bus was old. Everything on that bus that worked produced annoying noises. It was incredibly filthy, not just dirty - FILTHY. It took two people to pull a safety seatbelt over to snap. Eventually, that bus broke down on the road back to Calgary at 9:00 PM with exhausted passengers from the long day, half of which we spent in filth and scratchy noise. We had a nine-year-old child with us, who got so scared to be forced out of the bus at night in the middle of a busy Highway. If this company wants to survive, they need to look into the quality of their service and make dramatic improvements. Moreover, I think I deserve a REFUND! So disappointed!

Our driver Inder is very kind and helpful. The tour got delayed due to heavy traffic. Inder had to skip 2 stops to made us get to our Icefield booking in time. And he made up those 2 stops during our return trip, very thoughtful! The whole experience is nice and comfortable. We are able to be picked up from Canmore and dropped off at Calgary downtown. Best fit for our trip. Much appreciated!

Unclear Details, but great tour

This was an excellent tour and we really enjoyed it. The information about the whole thing could have been clearer. Parking was an issue, because the garage had a height maximum, so we could not get parking. Since we were not staying close enough to the pickup spot, we got an Uber. The problem then arose for getting back to our hotel.. our guide helped us out and we managed. We were not totally aware of what the tour actually included and the extra cost that it would entail. We also did not realize how late we would be getting back. All of these types of things would be better to know up front before booking.

This experience was great. The drive to Columbia icefield was good. We did only the skywalk. The lakes along the way were so beautiful especially the Peyto lake. Our tour guide Gary was great at showing us various spots along the way and taking good family pictures of all the guests.
