Worth the line and wait

Worth the wait. Long line to get the ticket. Only 1 person and 1 window open to buy tickets. Once you have a ticket and they call your board time, it still took about 45 min. to get on the gondola (Ealy August). However, once you are up there, it is all worth it. Awesome little walk to another view point once you are up there. There is food and drinks at the top is needed. Very accessible for anyone who can't walk far. The views of Banff from the top are priceless. Know ahead of time, you must purchase your return time when you go up. Know it takes about an hour to start boarding to get to the top after all of the lines. I suggest 2 hours later for your return down time. This was an amazing stop and one of the best things we did in the area.

Expensive but everything in town is.

Line up to get in was 45 mins long even though I had a booked time to load. Asked the staff and nobody could explain this to me/or didn't know why. Id probably walk next time it would be cheaper and I wouldn't be waiting.

Friendly advice!

Wildfire smoke blocked quite a bit of the view but it was still impressive. FYI - I bought our tickets through Trip Advisor and downloaded them to my Apple Wallet BUT BEWARE they will not accept them in the line. You must go to the ticket counter and show them your proof of purchase and they will print out tickets for you. Also, you can ride a bus shuttle into town and back free by showing the shuttle driver the aforementioned printed tickets and save yourself searching for parking in Banff. And finally you are supposed to pay for your parking ($17.50) at one of two machines near the main building

Operator response

Dear guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts about our attraction. We're thrilled to hear that you found our offering enjoyable despite the smoky conditions that affected the views. We're committed to providing unforgettable experiences, and your feedback helps us to continually improve and adapt to the unique challenges that Mother Nature sometimes presents. Sincerely, Banff Gondola Team
