Mansour has a wealth of knowledge about the history and significance of all of many sites on this tour. He took me to places that are clearly "off the beaten path", but hold so much significance when seen from the perspective of understanding how the Prophet Muhammad's descendants who had become exiled from present day Iraq, found not only refuge but established roots in Cairo, that continue provide spiritual grounding and a nourishing presence. Mansour knows each and every alleyway in the old city, and has the raw Egyptian grit needed to navigate Cairo traffic. Don't miss this opportunity to visit the resting places of several Sahaba (companions), of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) like Amr ibn Al-Aas, Ukba bin Amir (RA) as well as that of luminaries like Imam Shafi, Sayyida Nafeesa, and Jalaluddin Al Suyuti (RA) We also enjoyed a fantastic lunch on the Nile.
