The Giza pyramid complex, also called the Giza necropolis, is the site on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, Egypt that includes the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx of Giza.
The Great Sphinx of Giza is a monumental sculpture on the west bank of the Nile River in the city of Giza, about 20 km southwest of central Cairo, Egypt. Egyptologists estimate that it was sculpted c. 6th c. BC. 26th century BC.
Saqqara is the site of the main necropolis of the city of Memphis on the west bank of the Nile, located about 30 km south of Cairo and 22 km southeast of the Pyramids of Giza. Functional from the 1st Dynasty to the Christian period.
Memphis was the capital of the Ancient Egyptian Empire and of the Nome I of Lower Egypt. It was located south of the Nile River delta, in the region between Lower and Upper Egypt.
