Kick off your adventure with a seamless pick-up from your Dresden hotel at a pre-arranged time. Experience Bastei, the crown jewel of Saxon Switzerland! Explore several breathtaking viewpoints, among which the most stunning overlooks the Elbe Canyon, the largest sandstone canyon in Europe. From a height of 190 meters above the river, behold the beauty of Saxon Switzerland National Park - the table mountains of Lilienstein and Königstein with its impregnable fortress. Then walk across this magnificent Bridge perched high above the river Elbe. This awe-inspiring landmark holds the distinction of being the first tourist attraction in the region, constructed in 1851 to connect the rocky peaks with Neurathen Fortress. Prepare to be marveled by its architectural wonder!
Explore the magnificent Neurathen Fortress, a medieval marvel nestled in the sandstone cliffs. Prepare to be mesmerized by yet another stunning perspective of the Bastei Bridge, and the surrounding valley with forest theater. But Neurathen holds more than stunning views! Get ready to travel back in time. We'll uncover archaeological treasures hinting at a surprising past, when this region was submerged beneath a vast sea millions of years ago.
After exploring Bastei Bridge and Neurathen Fortress, we'll embark on a scenic drive through the Elbe River Canyon to the Czech side of the National Park - Elbe Sandstone Mountains.
(Not available from November to March) The 2km hike navigates us to the Pravcicka Gate. Approaching it from below, you will see the majesty with which it stands at the top of the surrounding landscape. It is the symbol of the Bohemian Switzerland National Park and you will know why, once you see it.
You need to recharge your batteries, so the next stop will be a traditional Czech and locally renowned restaurant. A rich "a la carte" lunch will be a welcome and well-deserved reward. Traditional Czech and international dishes are served (including vegetarian options). We highly recommend trying Czech beer, which is one of the best in the world. This restaurant is very popular with the locals and has the best reputation in Bohemian Switzerland. We are always very welcome at this restaurant and we have a pre-booked table in the best place that will be waiting for you ready before our arrival. In addition, we have an advantage over other guests in the kitchen, so the wait for food is significantly shorter.
Then we will drive you into the Tisa Rocks labyrinth, where Chronicles of Narnia was filmed. The rock city with lots of towers, small squares and mysterious corners will win you over with its captivating beauty. Anyone who ventures into the bowels of the rocks to enjoy the extraordinary charm of natural beauty will be rewarded with a nice experience. And as you know, no one can take the experience away from you.
After an amazing day exploring Bohemian and Saxon Switzerland, we'll head back to Dresden for a relaxing ride. It was really fun and the guide was very nice and helpful. Every detail was perfect like foods and snacks, the tour was amazing and the scenery was beautiful. Our guide, Barbora was great and highly recommended. In conclusion the trip was great and we had lots of fun, it is a long tour but this doesn't mean it was boring nor tiring, on the contrary it was getting better as we went. It is an excellent activity for families who like nature and adventures.

Really beautiful landscspe sights on this tour making it worthwhile. The guys at Saxon Tours, including young Milo the guide, were professional and friendly, really looked after us well ensuring we had a great experience. Food was excellent, and no hidden costs on the day. Bring change for tips as there are not many opportunities to change money on the Czech side.

This tour was a highlight of our time in Germany. We would never have found or done these hikes on our own. Beautiful drives to two different areas in national parks, with lovely lunch in a small Czech town in between. We loved hiking in the Bastel Bridge area and the Tisa Rocks , and our guides were great.

Dalibora was friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole trip very interesting. The sights were beautiful. The second stop is a bit of a trek - 3.5 kms with 300m elevation gain, but doable and well work the trek. Even the last stop was interesting. Lunch was very scenic and the food was delicious and hearty. All-in-all this was a worth while trip that I would not have done on my own.

It was great to get out and do some hiking among some amazing scenery. There were just three of us and our tour leader which made it extra fun. Our guide was knowledgeable and helpful and extremely accommodating to our needs.

My wife and I really enjoyed this tour to national parks in East Germany and Northwest Czech Republic. Jitka was very knowledgeable about everything along our journey and passionate about the parks. Daniel did a great job with transportation and was extra accommodating at the end of the day. Our lunch stop was organized and very enjoyable. The crew also provided water and snacks for the six of us in the van.

My wife and I took this tour today from Desden. We had a wonderful and caring guide Jitka and driver Daniel, who picked us up from our hotel in Dresden. We hiked in the morning, and then took a break. We had a gorgeous meal...my wife liked the duck and I took beef and rice. Then we hiked again for 2 hours, and Jitka made it so enjoyable by explaining the rock formations and the imagery some of the rock formations resembled. They were gracious enough to keep our luggage in the van all the time, and dropped us off at the Dresden main train station. Well recommended.

We had a beautiful day visiting Bastei Bridge and Tisa Rocks! Jitka was a wonderful guide and Vojtch was a great driver. Lunch in the Czech Republic was delicious -- one of the best meals I've had in our 2-week stay in the area.
