Itinerary
After meeting your guide, your tour begins at the Colosseum, where you'll head to the interior of the arena for an exploration of Ancient Rome's largest amphitheater.
When your visit is over, follow your guide just outside for a look at the Arch of Constantine and the Roman Forum, the empire's central square and hub of political, religious, and social activity. See the 1st-century Arch of Titus, the House of the Vestal Virgins, the Temple of Saturn, the Senate House, and the white marble Arch of Septimius Severus.
Then via the Sacred Way, arrive at Capitoline Hill and the Vittoriano, one of the most beautiful monuments of modern Italy.
Next, continue your tour to the Trevi Fountain, seen in several films, including Fellini’s La Dolce Vita. To follow legend, throw a coin in the fountain and make a wish that someday you’ll return to Rome.
Then it’s time for a rest and lunch (own expense); there is a variety of restaurants you can choose from, whether you're in the mood for pizza, a sandwich, or a nicer 3-course meal. After eating, head to the Government District, where you’ll see the Parliament Building, the Palace of the Council of Ministers, and the Column of Marcus Aurelius. The historic Temple of Hadrian is nearby; Emperor Antoninus Pius built the grand edifice in honor of his predecessor. T
Then follow a narrow avenue to see the Pantheon, where Raphael, the Renaissance architect and painter, lies entombed.
Continue on to Piazza Navona by way of the Ancient Baths of Nero, and admire the Fountain of the Four Rivers by Bernini.
Your final destination is the Vatican, which sits across the Tiber River.
During your visit of the Vatican Museums ,you’ll enjoy a tour of Michelangelo’s most famous works, including the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, plus Raphael’s frescoes and the apartments of the pope.
The tour proceed to St. Peter’s Basilica where you will explore the numerous side chapels with their hidden crypts. You will see Michelangelo’s Pietà and your guide will explain why this is the only work that he signed. You will gain an appreciation of the mastery that went into the creation of Bernini’s altarpiece and learn how Michelangelo triumphed over his contemporaries for the honour to paint St. Peter’s magnificent dome.

Worth the money! Minimal time in lines, the guide, Tomaso, was friendly and greatly enhanced the experience. The tour company is also highly responsive during the planning process with answering questions to determine the best options for our family.
Exceptional experience with a private guide - it is truly the ideal way to visit - Tommaso, our guide, was exceptional, very professional, with images and explanations, answering all our questions.
Lots of walking. This tour requires good mobility. Our tour guide, Claudia, was fantastic! Highly recommend!
Our guide was so well versed and knowledgeable about all of the venues we visited and went above and beyond with the education we received. We developed a new found love for Rome with everything we learned and because of it would love to revisit Roma!!!! Thank you for working with such knowledgable and kind tour guides.
Claudia was an exceptional guide! Her knowledge of each site we visited was thorough, and she was able to answer our many questions. We could never have seen and learned as much as we did without her. This tour was an experience that our family will never forget! Thank you, Claudia!
Both Paola and Marco were fabulous with our family to help make our stay in Rome that much more amazing! We did an all day tour and they were so informative and kept us all very interested! Thank you for a wonderful last day of our trip
This was an amazing tour. Our guide Masimilliano was extremely knowledgeable and hands on showing us all Rome has to offer. His background and education in Languages, History and Theology added to our understanding and appreciation of this great city. He was so friendly and personable. The tour itself is a bit pricey but well worth it if you want the best experience and skip the lines everywhere. My husband and I were celebrating our 35th anniversary and this was our first time to Italy and this truly made our special occasion memorable.
Francesco was the most amazing guide. Incredibly knowledgeable, and extremely professional. The only way to do a tour of Rome is via this private tour. I can not recommend it highly enough.
Awesome tour as we saw most of the sights in thr first half of the day with a great guide. His ability to navigate the crowds and skip all the lines was a godsend. If you want to do Rome on a day this is the way to go. The second half of the tour was the Vatican and that guide was excellent as well. So much great information.
We debated on booking this because of the cost, but it was worth every penny especially if this is your first trip to Rome. We saw so many things were directed to a local coffee shop went shopping in one of the districts and got the best truffle products and Rose balsamic vinegar. We didn’t get into the Vatican because the tickets were sold out and frankly There had to be 2000 people waiting to get in line so I don’t think that would’ve been enjoyable anyway and did not damping our tour at all.. Maria our tour guide was awesome. She was so nice and personable and made sure we got to see everything we wanted to see and more; thank you so much Maria!
