The Brandenburg Gate in Berlin is an early classicist triumphal gate that stands on the western flank of the square Pariser Platz in Berlin's Mitte district.
The Berlin Wall Memorial commemorates the division of Berlin by the Wall and the deaths at the Berlin Wall.
Mauerpark is a park in Berlin. Its name goes back to the Berlin Wall erected in 1961, which formed the border between the former districts of Prenzlauer Berg and Wedding. This is the border between the districts of Prenzlauer Berg and Gesundbrunnen.

The Berlin Kulturbrauerei is a 25,000 m² ensemble of buildings. With its courtyards and unique architecture, it has been a listed building since 1974 and is one of the few well-preserved industrial architectural monuments in Berlin dating from the end of the 19th century.

Checkpoint Charlie was one of Berlin's border crossings through the Berlin Wall between 1961 and 1990, connecting the Soviet and American sectors in Friedrichstrasse between Zimmerstrasse and Kochstrasse, thus linking the East Berlin district of Mitte with the West Berlin district of Kreuzberg.
Tear Palace is the colloquial name in Berlin vernacular for the former exit hall of the border crossing point Bahnhof Friedrichstraße in the divided city of Berlin between 1961 and 1989.

Our family had a wonderfully easygoing bike tour around prominent Berlin city landmarks with our astute tour guide Frey. We received the perfect amount of information about sites relating to Berlins historical and political significance from the time of WWII until the fall of the wall in ‘89. The scope of these events that occurred over such a short span of time is mind boggling. Thanks Frey and BB team for a great introduction to Berlin.
