Itinerary
Checkpoint Charlie was the most famous Berlin border crossing during the Cold War between East and West Berlin. Today, a replica of the control barracks recalls the dramatic history of the divided city. Numerous information boards and the Wall Museum impressively convey escape attempts, agent stories and political backgrounds of this time.
On the site of the former Gestapo and SS headquarters, the “Topography of Terror” documents the crimes of the Nazi regime. The impressive exhibition of photos, documents and audio evidence is located outdoors as well as in a modern documentation centre. An important place of remembrance and enlightenment.
Potsdamer Platz symbolizes Berlin's transformation: From the former transport hub to the ruins of war to the modern architecture and shopping mile. Today, high-rises, cinemas, restaurants and the Sony Center meet here – a vibrant place that impressively combines past and present.
The Führerbunker was Hitler's last retreat during World War II. Today, the place is inconspicuous – a parking lot with an information board – but historically significant. The plaque provides information about the bunker construction and the last days of the Nazi regime. Not a monument, but a sober place to remember.
The monument to the murdered Jews of Europe, near the Brandenburg Gate, consists of 2,711 concrete steles. It creates an impressive atmosphere of silence and anxiety. Underneath is an information center documenting the history of the Shoah. A central place of remembrance in Berlin.
Brandenburg Gate The Brandenburg Gate is Berlin's most famous landmark. Once a symbol of division, it now stands for the reunification of Germany. A classicist city gate from 1791, it is located on Pariser Platz and is a popular photo spot and starting point for sightseeing.
The Reichstag is the seat of the German Bundestag and a symbol of German democracy. The modern glass dome by Sir Norman Foster is particularly well known, which visitors can enter free of charge. It offers impressive views of Berlin and insights into political events. Registration required!
The Museum Island in the heart of Berlin is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and houses five world-famous museums, including the Pergamon Museum and the Neues Museum. It offers a unique blend of art, archaeology and architecture. A must for culture lovers and one of the most important museum complexes in the world.
Bebelplatz is located on the magnificent street “Unter den Linden” and is known for the memorial to the burning of books from 1933. Surrounded by the State Opera, Humboldt University and St. Hedwig's Cathedral, the square is a quiet place with a lot of history in the heart of Berlin.
The Gendarmenmarkt is considered one of the most beautiful squares in Berlin. Framed by the German and French Cathedrals and the Konzerthaus, it exudes architectural elegance. Especially in the evenings or at Christmas time, it enchants with its atmospheric atmosphere and cultural flair.
The Jewish Museum Berlin is one of the most important museums in Europe on Jewish history and culture. Daniel Libeskind's spectacular building impresses with its symbolic architecture with sharp lines and blank spaces. The permanent exhibition highlights 1,700 years of Jewish life in Germany

Fantastic to see Berlin with the Segway, doable because we whoreover had good explanations
Really fun trip. Great way to see the city and learn history.
We did this tour in the middle of winter, with snow on the ground, and it was still an excellent experience. Our guide was thoughtful, knowledgeable and made everything feel safe and enjoyable despite the conditions. What really stood out was how the tour was tailored to us — especially engaging our teenage daughter and shaping the experience around her interests and Berlin’s history. It was a fantastic way to immerse ourselves in the city, its culture and its past, even in the cold. Highly recommend as an insightful and personal way to explore Berlin.
Nice Segway round past the essential landmarks. The guide took his time and explained some things, despite the evening tour in the cold winter.
Really fun and informative tour! Our guide Freis(?) was friendly and even took the time to snap a few photos for us. Segways are a great way to see the city. Make sure your comfortable with your balance if you’ve never ridden a Segway ;)
We highly recommend City Riders Tours! Our guide Fais, a Berlin native, was deeply knowledgeable about all periods of Berlin’s complex history. The stops were well chosen, and the pacing was relaxed without dragging. In the summer, the passage through the wooded Tiergarten is an especially refreshingly cool, green break. Fais is patient and gracious—our tour group ended up having both Segway and bike tourists, and he integrated them seamlessly. Important historical knowledge is mixed with humorous points and pop-culture knowledge (such as spotting the hotel from which Michael Jackson infamously dangled an infant). A great tour all around.

It was raining at the time that I signed up for my 2-hour Berlin Segway Tour, so I was the only one who showed up. The CityRiders operator honored his word nonetheless and proceeded to give me a private tour for the same price as the group tour that I initially signed up for. He was born and grew up in Berlin so had a wealth of knowledge of the city. I absolutely had a good time and would highly recommend this company for any Segway tour in Berlin!
This was by far the best Segway tour I’ve ever done! Exploring Berlin on a Segway was not only incredibly fun but also a fantastic way to see the city. The tour was well organized, the guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and we covered so many iconic sights without getting tired. Riding through Berlin’s historic streets, parks, and vibrant neighborhoods felt like the perfect mix of adventure and culture. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. Don’t miss this unique experience.
Was a great Segway tour of Berlin. We had a great guide and really a lot of fun. City Riders is highly recommended.
