Itinerary
The tour will depart from Neptune Fountain. Throughout the day, you’ll enjoy one of the best excursions in Berlin and discover the most thrilling chapters of its history at key locations — all in a comfortable and high-quality experience.
The first stop will be the concentration camp. During the visit, we will learn about the prisoners' daily work and how everyday life unfolded in the camp, through the buildings that have survived to this day. We will gain an understanding of the site's complex history through the various monuments that have been placed at the memorial over time, shaped by different ideologies and historical periods. We will visit places such as: - "Death Marches" Exhibition - Tower A: Security measures and punishments - Small Camp: Barracks 38 and 39 - Camp prison - Kitchen and laundry facilities - Soviet Monument from 1961 - Station Z - Infirmary and morgue
After visiting the camp, we will head to Potsdam. This city eventually became a royal residence, which brought much of the splendor we see today — palaces and gardens where royal families and their courts once ruled and strolled. We will explore the city alongside our guide and also enjoy some free time to discover it at our own pace.

Great tour and Daniel was super. His knowledge is fantastic and navigated controversial topics very well
Peter was FABULOUS! He did a great job, was very informative, had a great upbeat personality, and I loved how he interacted with us all. The only complaint was the fact that we also had a Spanish speaker on the bus. She took over the mic way too much, and we English speakers felt she overruled Peter. She talked on and on and on with the mic on the bus and left poor Peter with not much time to have a chance to tell us what we were seeing while on the bus. We felt we missed some key facts about the sightseeing on the bus part of our tour. Other than that, Peter was GREAT!
Peter our host was very good, He was very engaged and informative, however this tour had both Spanish speaking and English combined in the same bus. We feel we lost some of the important sights and information when the Spanish host was talking and vice versa. Also the Spanish speaker talked more. If I had know the tour was like this, I may have researched tours more. A headset would have been better to hear the entire tour in English
It was a great experience, very informative and enjoyable. Our guide, Peter, was very knowledgeable and fun! He shared many interesting facts and stories throughout the trip. I definitely recommend this trip to anyone who wants to learn about history and also visit beautiful sights in Potsdam.
Thank you very much for your kind words! We’re really happy to hear that you had a great experience and enjoyed the tour. Pete will be especially pleased to know that his knowledge and storytelling made the trip both informative and fun for you. We truly appreciate your recommendation and hope to welcome you again on another tour in the future!😊😊😊
The operator changed the start time and meeting point and then continued to send emails with the incorrect meeting point. Two hours before the (new) start time, they sent an email, with the word “amended” and it referenced the original meeting point. We went there. The tour left without us and now aviator refuses to give us a refund
Thank you very much for your message. We are very sorry to hear about the situation and the inconvenience caused. From our side, we would like to kindly clarify that the updated meeting point and start time were communicated on several occasions via WhatsApp (twice) and also through Viator messages (twice). Additionally, guests were informed that any message received showing the previous meeting point should be disregarded, as the information was in the process of being updated. We sincerely regret the confusion this may have caused, however the updated details were shared through all available communication channels provided. As the booking was made through Viator, we would kindly ask you to contact their support team directly so they can review the case and assist you further with the appropriate resolution. We are truly sorry for the inconvenience and thank you for your understanding.
It was a really good experience. Peter was an excellent guide - he was knowledgeable, insightful, and very helpful.

His knowledge, insights, and dedication to helping our guests are qualities we truly value. We hope to welcome you again on another tour in the future! 😊
This tour was one of the highlights of my visit to Germany. Visiting Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp was a deeply moving experience and, in my opinion, something everyone should see to better understand Germany’s history and the consequences of human intolerance. In contrast, Potsdam offered a beautiful glimpse into another side of German history, with its stunning architecture, peaceful countryside, and remarkable heritage. The entire trip was comfortable, well-organized, and enjoyable. Our driver, Michael, was excellent, and our guide, Walli , was outstanding. His knowledge, passion, and storytelling brought history to life, and I learned more about Germany in one day than I ever expected.
Thank you for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear that the tour was one of the highlights of your visit to Germany and that you enjoyed both the meaningful visit to Sachsenhausen and the beauty of Potsdam. We'll be sure to share your kind words our guide and driver, they will be thrilled to know they helped make your experience so memorable. We hope to welcome you again on another tour soon! 😊
The sights are amazing. You’ll get great information and photo opportunities and have a fairly easy trip outside of Berlin to see some sights. Our tour guide, Waleed, was AWESOME: informative, funny, and easy going. Our chief complaint came with the tour company and overall experience. We booked the tour about six weeks out and built our itinerary around it…then, while in Amsterdam a few days out, we began receiving emails about changes in both departure time and location. Not that big of a deal for sure and we rolled with it. The morning of the tour we discovered that the tour would be bilingual (about half the bus speaking English and the other half Spanish). Again not a problem until we got in motion and realized that the two tour guides would be trading the microphone hurriedly back and forth trying to narrate the scenery. Not a deal breaker and we still had a pretty great day. But we did feel that we missed out on some sights and info because of the language barrier trade off. Overall recommend (but you may want to ensure you’re booking exactly the experience you want).
Thank you for your detailed feedback and for your kind words about Walid—we’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour and the sites visited. We’d also like to clarify a couple of points. The schedule adjustment was made to improve the overall experience, allowing more time at the different locations so guests can enjoy each stop to the fullest. Regarding the language aspect, the tour is not bilingual. We operate with separate English- and Spanish-speaking guides, and all guided visits are conducted in a single language. While both groups share the same bus for some transfers, these journeys are relatively short, and the guides share the microphone in a balanced way during transit. We appreciate your feedback and are glad to hear that, overall, you had a great day with us. We hope to welcome you again in the future!
I don't think I have had any more of a good time than this. Going to Sachsenhausen really was enlightening as in a book I had read The Men With the Pink Triangle, it's author was in Sachsenhausen for half a year. To see the horrible conditions and what humans can do to another in person is a life changing experience, and our guide Matias walked us through the area with so much knowledge and respect. Sans Soussi was one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. Seeing these old buildings which have lasted beyond the length of my country is beautiful, and a look back into a time I could never imagine. I also enjoyed learning a small bit about German monarchs, as our guide was very knowledgeable. If I haven't said it already, I loved Matias, and I loved this trip!
thank you so much for your kind words! We're delighted to hear how meaningful and memorable the experience was for you. We'll be sure to share your compliments with Matias. We hope to see you again on another tour soon! 😊
Great day spent learning important history of both areas. Our guide Matias was excellent in his knowledge and invited deeper conversation. Trip was well organized.
Thank you for your kind words! We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed learning about the history of both locations. We're also glad that you found the trip well organized. We hope to welcome you again on another tour soon! 😊
