Berlin City Tour in a Mini Hotrod

Description
YOU NEED A VALID DRIVER LICENSE! Experience Berlin in the most exciting way while driving Yourself in a street legal mini hotrod past Berlin's main attractions. You quickly become an attraction yourself. The tour starts at the legendary R.A.W. site, which is still the last piece of "real" Berlin and takes you past the Berlin Wall (Eastside Gallery) to Alexanderplatz, via Hackescher Markt, Friedrichstraße, past the Reichstag, Brandenburg Gate, Potsdamer Platz and Gendarmenmarkt. Before we hit the road, you will receive a theoretical and practical briefing on our premises (approx. 10-15 min). Afterwards we will guide you safely and always in formation through the city (approx. 75-80 min). If you want to take a photo, let your guide know and he will take a little photo break. Our tours are uncommented, as the focus is on the road and the driving experience. Safety comes first.

The Brandenburg Gate is a must for every visitor to Berlin. Hardly any other sight is on so many tourist selfies as the great sandstone gate in the heart of the city. It was built in the years 1788 to 1791. We will make a short brake at this spot. It is possible to take a picture.
Potsdamer Platz was redeveloped after reunification. Between the skyscrapers are cafes, cinemas and shopping facilities that are used by Berliners and tourists alike. Historically, the first traffic lights in Europe are located on Potsdamer Platz.
We drive past the Berlin Wall. We can also stop for photos. Ask Your guide!

If you’re looking to have just a fun time driving around Berlin and seeing the sites…this is the thing to do. The guides taught us how to work the mini hot rods, explained how to stagger on the road when we drive, and always made sure we stayed together as a group. This was one of my favorite tours. If you’re looking to stop and take pics at the sights though this isn’t the thing for you. Just drive the streets and have a blast
The activity was organised very well and it was a great way to see the city. The Hotrods are fun to drive and pretty nippy but they have no suspension so you do feel every bump on the road. The steering is also super sensitive but that added to the fun for me!
Complete fraud - because we are travelling internationally, we only brought a photo of our drivers license and not a hard copy. (Our fault for sure) Realizing we didn’t have a hard copy of the license, we called ahead to ask if we could still participate with photos of our drivers license - the answer was no. What bothers me the most was that there was zero refund, not even an attempt to refund some of the $400 Canadian that we paid for zero service.. they kept $400 and they did nothing .. not one darn thing. No service services were given and no service services were received but yet they kept all $400.. they chose not to see past their greed to just do the right thing. This is greed at it’s finest and I am deeply disappointed in both Viator and the tour operators… I understand that we needed the drivers license, but they could’ve done a partial refund, they could’ve done anything, but they chose just to be greedy and keep the money and never return my calls. I would never recommend this tour or the owners of the operation because of their pure greed and disassociation with doing the right thing. Gross.
The gentlemen on site were very friendly, knowledgeable, and definitely in a good mood, as one of the gentlemen guided us through the city, and that was super fun, interesting, and I would do it again anytime. I can only recommend it; an adventure like no other.
This was a BLAST! My face hurt at the end of the trip because I was laughing and smiling SO much! The roads can be a bit bumpy but that just adds to the adventure. Speedy little cars with super responsive steering. People stopped to watch and wave at us. As my travel buddy said, "Everyone wants to do this but most are too chicken to try it." I'm SO glad we did this because it was super fun and exciting! Do it! You don't want to miss out on this experience!!
Thank you so much! That really warms the heart! That’s why we love this job!
Wanted to do it again in my short say but fully booked out, once in a lifetime to drive fun rides on Berlin streets.
Hey! Sorry to hear that! Please write us an email and we’ll give you a discount voucher for your next attempt!
Seven years ago I visited Berlin, and I went again last August. The city feels completely different now. Everything is always busy, and it feels surprisingly hot — even for me, and I’m from India. I think it’s because there aren’t many trees.
It's a shame that you're deducting one star because you didn't like Berlin as much as you did seven years ago. Our Hotrod Tour is still cool! :D
Great fun, had a brilliant time with my son driving around Berlin. Guide was fun and looked after all the drivers navigating the streets!
We love to hear that You had a good time with us in Berlin! Thanks for Your kind review!
I was visiting Berlin for only 2 days and had booked this tour on the Saturday morning for my friends and I. We arrived at the meeting point for 10:30am, we had an 11am booking. Nobody was there, fence closed, nobody answered our *numerous* calls. We waited around in the cold for ages and finally got through to Tripadvisor who informed us they would contact the company to request a refund. We finally received a message from them stating: “It looks like that you did not get the message that we are not running the tour at 11:00 because of the temperature is in minus degrees. At 13:00 there will be plus 3 you can join this tour”. No apology, nothing?! And they know full well we never received an email or message notifying us it was cancelled. It wasted our whole morning when we were only visiting for 2 days and couldn’t attend the 1pm tour, as we had other plans to attend to. Pretty poorly organised. Fair enough if it’s too cold to do the tour but at least notify us so we can make other plans and not waste our time. They did process a refund afterwards. Thank you for wasting our morning in Berlin.
Why are you implying that we ‘knew you hadn't received an email from us’? We tried to contact you – otherwise you would hardly have received the message you yourself quote. I find it difficult to apologise for the miscommunication after a 1-star rating with unpleasant insinuations. It can happen that communication breaks down with extremely short-notice bookings. Nevertheless, one should remain fair.
Interesting way to see this unique city. I would recommend this activity to anyone who wants to sightsee, but in a fun way.
Thank You Erik for Your kind review!
