Bagels Dumplings Pizza & Tacos

Description
4 ICONIC FOODS. 4 LEGENDARY LOCAL SPOTS. 4 HISTORIC NEIGHBORHOODS. Gorge on a visual and literal feast as we explore hidden corners of the city that most visitors miss. WHY THIS TOUR? • THE FOOD: We’ll eat bagels, dumplings, pizza, and tacos - four pillars of New York’s edible soul. • THE STORY: Learn about the immigrants who brought these foods to New York and how each grew beyond its cultural cradle to become a global culinary superstar. • EXTREME PERSONALIZATION: We are independent, professional guides, not a big corporation constantly hiring new guides. We’re locals who continue to explore. We aren’t stuck to a fixed route and we love making the occasional fun detour to fulfill a guest's wish. • SIDEWALK ALCHEMY: We believe in the power of the city to expand minds. Note: Our route varies slightly based on guest input and the pulse of the neighborhood. This tour walks a little further and dives a little deeper than the average trek—come hungry and wear comfortable shoes!

Itinerary
We meet at Essex Street Market. What follows is a SAMPLE ITINERARY, as we vary our route and stops depending on input from the group.
The oldest bialy bakery in The United States, Kossar's has a colorful history and they make great food. If we don't stop at Russ & Daughters, and maybe even if we do, we might stop here.
Family-owned and operated for almost 100 years, Economy Candy is a colorful and enjoyable stop. They have candy from all over the world, and candy you might not have seen in decades. Great fun. No purchase necessary.
We'll take a few minutes to appreciate the art, architecture, and culture of the Lower East Side and the immigrant groups that built it. This truly is one of the most visually stunning and historically important neighborhoods in America. And the food is incredible.
We often stop at El Cabron, where the tacos are real and delicious. Grab a beer or a Margherita if you want!
We'll pass through Chinatown, take in the sights, and eat some dumplings.
Hands down the best pan friend dumplings in New York. We gotta eat them standing on the street, but it's absolutely worth it. Learn the history of dumplings and Chinatown as we eat.
Columbus Park is a well-used and vibrant park with a rich history. We often end our tour here, or nearby.
If we aren't full already, we might make our way to the exception slices at Nolita Pizza.
Freeman Alley is a Mecca of graffiti and street art. It changes every day. If you like bright colors and beautiful imagery, you should see it at least once.

Incredible tour and experience. Morgan was the best tour guide and gave us so many interesting facts about the area. The food was amazing and places we would never be able to find on our own. It was like having a friend showing you all of their favorite spots around the city. Best dumplings I have ever had in my life
Thanks Dawn! I love to hear it. You guys made it fun!
This was a fabulous tour and our guide, Morgan, was great! It was raining today so he was sensitive to that and worked to get us out of the rain when possible. Stayed with us at the end until our Uber came! He was amazing and the foods were all good and plentiful. Excellent!
It was a joy to show you guys around! I'm so glad you had fun! :)
Morgan was a very knowledgeable guide who is passionate about NYC. He catered the tour to our likes and interests, and answered all our questions. The food was great at all stops. If you are interested in graffiti and enjoy learning more about the various artists, etiquette, and symbolism, Morgan is your guy.
Thanks Tiffany! You guys were great I'm glad you had fun.
Great food and great vibe exploring the city with a funny, knowledgeable tour guide - one of my fav days in nyc
Love it! Thanks Quinn! You're the best.
Highly recommend the Bagels, Dumplings, Tacos & Pizza Sidewalk Alchemy Tour. Morgan loves the City and it’s evident in the thoughtful tour he delivers. We made some detours for my teen and he made it a point to engage my neurodivergent pre-teen in the lesser toured aspects of NYC like the graffiti art & pigeon hangouts! If your time is limited in NYC, thus is a GREAT way to maximize your time and hit up great food spots in iconic neighborhoods. Book it!
Thanks Ursula!! A pleasure to show you guys around! Your kids are great!
Morgan was a great guide. He showed us some great spots and was very knowledgeable about a lot of topics.
Thanks Wendy! Glad you guys had fun!!
This morning went on a LES tour with Morgan. It was a small tour and we had a great time. Morgan was very knowledgeable about the area and the history of the LES. We covered food and the history of immigrants in NYC. The tour was a great blend of food tourism and sociology and history. I have been to NYC many times over the years, but I learned a lot during the tour and saw things I would never have otherwise seen. Morgan was great and I would definitely do another tour with him.
Thanks for taking the time to write this! I had fun showing you guys around. See you next time!! :)
The food was amazing! Best dumplings, tacos, and bagels we’ve ever had! Highly recommend this day trip walking around the city. Morgan was fun and knowledgeable of the city’s history.
Thanks Shannon! You brought a great group really had fun with you guys!
Morgan took us to off the beat & path places to eat & see…some of the best tacos & dumplings we have had! While seating is minimal, we loved the food! Morgan gave us the history of the area & the graffiti on many buildings surrounding us. It was a fun (but chilly) afternoon!
Thanks Jodi!! I texted the guy about the weather but he never responded! Sorry it was so cold! Had a great time showing you guys around. You guys were awesome! Thank you so much for joining me!!!
This was a great experience. An absolute must for anyone visiting NYC. We went to so many places and ate such good food. And the tour guide was very knowledgeable.
Thanks Peter! Glad to meet you.
