Angkor 2-Day Sunset & Sunrise Small-Group Tour

We had an amazing time, Chay was a great guide, very knowledgeable, many anecdotes and curiosities about pretty much anything. Great driving too from ⭐️Our favourite temple was Ta Prohm, beautiful trees and magical atmosphere.

Great two day highlight of top temples in Siem Reap. I was a solo traveler and looking for a small group tour that would show me the highlights while also providing the comfort of an air conditioned van. Pal was the guide for two days and was excellent! Clearly passionate about the topic he explained all the sites and important facts without overwhelming us. The comfort of the van, cold waters and cold washcloths were much appreciated in the heat. The lunch and breakfast stops were also good. Highly recommend if you have two days

Had a great 2 day trip with Mr. Saruon Pal and Ha, they were very friendly and Mr. Saruon Pal was very knowledgeable about all temples and could answer all our questions. They provide cold water and towels for free which is amazing on the hot long days. Would definitely recommend them!

I did this tour at the end of July. It was really hot but there were fewer tourists which was nice. My days were swapped so I did the sunrise tour the first day and the sunset tour the second day. The sunrise day starts around 4:30 AM and ends around noon. You visit three temples, including Angkor Wat. The sunset day starts around 8 AM and ends after sunset. You see four temples. I preferred the temples we saw on the sunset day. So was my guide the first day and Da was my driver. Both were great. So knew a lot about the sites and Da always had some cold water and a cold towel waiting when we got back to the car which was nice. For the second day, Sak was my tour guide and Vichet was the driver. Again, both were great. Here’s why I gave four stars instead of five: 1) I was told to wear long pants to be respectful of the religious sites, which I did. Yet, I saw hundreds of other tourists in shorts well above their knees. I was miserably hot and mad that I was told to wear long pants when I didn’t have to. Apparently wearing long pants isn’t strictly enforced. I wish I knew that ahead of time. I opted to wear shorts the second day and had no issues. 2) We were told to purchase our passes ahead of time, which I did and highly recommend. If you purchase online, everything is electronic. Make sure you take a screenshot of your pass as service isn’t widely available at some of the sites. 3) To watch the sunrise, we had to get up really early and get to Angkor Wat right as it opened at 5 AM. We were one of the first people there and had a prime viewing spot (hats off to So for providing us with the optimal photo taking location as no one was in front of us). However, I was a little disappointed with the sunrise as we couldn’t really see the sun as it appeared behind the temple. It was still pretty though and worth getting up early for. 4). For the sunset day, since we started at 8 AM and finished seeing all the temples around 3 PM, we opted not to wait to see the sunset. It would’ve been at least another three hours and we didn’t want to wait in the hot sun. Plus, I was misled into thinking we’d view the sunset at a temple, but was told instead it would’ve been on top of a hill covered with trees. It didn’t seem worth it. We could’ve easily visited another temple while waiting to see the sunset, but I was honestly content going back as it was so hot out. Be prepared for the heat.

The tour has been absolutely AMAZING! I would highly recommend visiting Angkor Wat with a guide, it truly makes all the difference. Our guide, So, was fantastic. He was incredibly knowledgeable and shared so much interesting information, guiding us through multiple temples while explaining the history and meaning behind everything we saw. Our driver, Mr. Da, was also wonderful. He was very kind and looked after us throughout the day, always providing fresh water and cold towels, which made the experience even more comfortable. I also really appreciated that the tour was designed for a small group. This allowed our guide, So, to answer all of our questions without ever making us feel rushed. The booking process was also excellent. I communicated directly with the agency, and they were always very responsive, answering all of my questions promptly and making everything easy to arrange.

We had a super nice tour with Sak. Lots of explanations, likes to take pictures. Recommended!! Our taxi vichet has also spoiled us with cold water, and cold towels.

A very beautiful 2-day visit to discover the main temples of Angkor. SAM our guide was full of explanations about the sites, the culture, and the history of the country. Mister Ha our driver took great care of us, cold water and refreshing towels always at the right time.

Highly recommended. Mr. Sam and Mr. Ha did an excellent job. Mr. Sam is highly skilled tour guide giving a lot of insight into Angkor Wat history, but also recent cambodian history and khmer culture. Mr. Ha does his best to make the tour more comfortable handing out cold towels and cold water at every stop. 5 out of 5!
