Our representative will pick you up from the hotel in Cairo, and then transfer to enjoy amazing day trip to Alexandria. First visit Pompay's Pillar. It was constructed in honor of the Emperor Diocletian at the end of the 4th century. Originally from the temple of the Serapis, it was once a magnificent structure rivaling the Soma and the Caesarean. Then you drive to visit the Catacombs which are the largest Roman Cemetery consisting of three levels cut in the rock. Lunch at local restaurant in Alexandria, and then we proceed to see the Qaitbay Citadel which was built on the site of the ancient pharaohs (lighthouse) of Alexandria then to Bibliotheca Alexandrina. Then you will have a look on Montazah palace and Finally you will drive back to Cairo.

Start from your hotel in Cairo , Our tour guide and driver will be waiting for you at your hotel lobby and drive for 3 hours to Alexandria
First stop after arriving to to Alexandria will be the catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa , for around 1-2 hours visit
Second stop will be the pompey's pillar before heading to Alexandria library
The next stop will be Bibliotheca Alexandrina , and the history that contains , and after being renovated .
After Bibliotheca Alexandrina head to the Qaitbay Citadel .
End of the day and after having your lunch , have some walk by the sea and the gardens to find out more about the city .

Had a very great day with Ashour. The tour is a full day one, we left the hotel around 6h30 and drove all the way to Alexandria (around 3h ride). The guide explained the details of the catacombs, the library, the fortress, all with good humor... food was also good. By the end the took me direct to the airport. Great experience.
