A unique tour! Visiting Hacienda Casa herradura From Guadalajara
Description
We pick you up at your hotel around 9:00 AM and head to Amatitán Town. There, we visit the Casa Herradura hacienda, built in 1870. You'll tour the different areas of the modern factory with a detailed explanation of the tequila-making process and explore the beautiful old part, the Ex-Hacienda San José, a world heritage site, we have tequila tastings. We explored central Tequila, Jalisco, visiting its main attractions: the José Cuervo souvenir shop and the Santiago Apóstol temple. If you choose the option with lunch we move to the "taberna del cofrade" underground restaurant.

We explored Downtown Tequila, Jalisco, visiting its main attractions: the José Cuervo souvenir shop and the Santiago Apóstol temple, handcraft market and time for shoping.

We would 100% recommend the tour to the legendary Casa Herradura in Amatitán Jalisco. By far, one of the best tours we’ve ever done… we learned so much about the history of the old Hacienda del Refugio and the delicious tradition of this amazing elixir… starting with a beautiful sight of the old Hacienda, visited the beautiful agave fields… walked through the amazing smelling ovens baking the beautiful and delicious sweet “piñas”… witnessed the fascinating process of elaboration and bottling… and, visited the gorgeous old factory… which makes you appreciate the process and end-product so much more… and, ended with a delicious tasting of some of their delicious tequilas! Big shout-out to our Herradura tour guide, Alonso, for making this an unforgettable experience. Alonso was very friendly, very knowledgeable, courteous, and funny. We learned so much and enjoyed the tour immensely! Thank you, Arturo, for making this happen… even though this wasn’t a normal tour for “Aventurate por Jalisco”, you made it possible. And, not if, but when we come back, we count on you to plan our next fun adventures! MIL GRACIAS!!
My wife and I traveled to Guadalajara and took the Herradura Hacienda tequila trip on March 4, 2026. Our guide Delfino and driver Fernando were excellent. The tour was very informative and we had a great time after visiting the Herradura Hacienda. We traveled to the town of tequila. We visited several of the tequila, factories there and had lunch. I would highly recommend this tour five stars.
Fher was an excellent guide, rating his passion for Tequila and Amatitán. It knows a lot and not only leaves you with the commercial version of the story, you also learn about the problems and challenges of the region with an unmatched humor. The tour of Hacienda Herradura is very complete and professional and less crowded than others better known as in Cuervo. Highly recommended.

My wife and I had an excellent experience on this tequila tour! Everything was perfectly on time, and our guide Delfino was incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Since the tequila train only operates on Saturdays (and is exclusive to José Cuervo), we did the tour by vehicle, which actually turned out to be a great alternative—it allowed us to stop and take photos of the Tequila Volcano, which was a stunning sight. We visited the beautiful Hacienda Herradura, where Alonso gave us an in-depth explanation of the tequila production process, from harvesting the agave to fermentation and distillation. The tour ended with a tasting of Herradura Reposado, which was smooth and flavorful. It would have been nice to try one or two additional varieties, but overall the experience was top-notch. We wrapped up our day with a visit to the charming town of Tequila and enjoyed a delicious lunch (not included in the tour) at Tequilera Hacienda La Cofradía—highly recommended! This tour is a must-do if you're in Jalisco and want a deeper, more authentic look into the world of tequila.

Herradura guide was amazing, very enthusiastic which made us ask more questions...The driver was knowledgeable about the area as well...It was a few hours longer than booked... maybe due to traffic

Delfino gave us a great day as we toured Herradura and Tequila town. He obviously loves his job, and has much knowledge about the history of this area. He also drives skillfully, as traffic in Guadalajara can be congested at times. When we stopped for lunch, He even had the restaurant give us a wonderful surprise anniversary treat! You are going to love this tour and Delfino.
