My family of four and I had meticulously planned a trip to Cairo and Alexandria, spanning four nights and five days. Our travel arrangements were made through an Indian travel agent who had connections with Egypt Tours and Travels. We were met and assisted by two tour coordinators - one for Cairo and the other for Alexandria - and a tour guide for the duration of our trip. On the first day of our journey, we were greeted by Mr. Mena, our tour guide in Cairo, who was very courteous in explaining the places we were going to visit throughout our trip. Initially, I found myself lacking confidence - a common human trait - but Mr. Mena's demeanor and expertise put us at ease. Throughout our tour, he was knowledgeable, patient, and accommodating, providing us with all the information we needed about the city and its culture, while also elaborating on the various sites we visited, including the Giza Plateau, Saqqara, and the Sound and Light show. Mr. Mena was an excellent guide, answering all of our questions, no matter how trivial, and his jovial personality made our experience all the more enjoyable.
