4-Day Budget Safari in Serengeti National Park Day 1: Arrival and Evening Game Drive Our safari began with an exciting evening game drive. Within just a few hours, we spotted zebras, impalas, and a herd of wildebeests grazing together. The highlight was a group of giraffes gracefully moving through the plains. We also caught a glimpse of buffalos near a watering hole. Day 2: Full-Day Game Drive, was packed with incredible sightings. Early in the morning, we encountered a family of elephants with adorable calves. As we ventured deeper, we found a pride of lions lounging under an acacia tree. By midday, we saw a group of baboons playing and hippos submerged in a river. Later, our driver/guide pointed out a pack of wild dogs, a rare treat! We also spotted ostriches, warthogs, and numerous bird species like kingfishers and eagles. Day 3: Exploring the Waterholes and Open Plains: our driver/guide took us to areas with waterholes, where wildlife congregates to quench their thirst. We were thrilled to see rhinoceroses drinking alongside herds of antelope and kudus. A pod of hippos provided entertainment with their playful grunts. As we continued, we saw a majestic cheetah resting under a tree and a few elusive leopards lounging on a rocky outcrop. The open plains were teeming with zebras, gazelles, and wildebeests, offering a classic safari scene. Our fourth-day Sunrise Game Drive and Departure On our final day, we enjoyed a stunning sunrise game drive. Early morning brought sightings of hyenas returning from a night hunt and jackals prowling the bush. As the sun rose, a herd of eland crossed our path, and we witnessed a flock of flamingos by a lake. The finale was an exhilarating encounter with a lioness stalking her prey—a moment we’ll never forget. Every day offered something new and thrilling, making each game drive unique and unforgettable, but not to forget the safari specialist Miss. Sandra and the entire team of Grayton Expeditions for going beyond our expectations; accommodation and meals were great too. I will recommend them with a five-star.
