We have nice Christmas holiday in Kruger National pack. It was my first time to have safari. My friend and I enjoyed it.
Thank you Rene and Natasia. It was great to host you. We wish you all the best in Cape Town and your travels back to Hong Kong. Kindest regards.
Great guides, really friendly and the team went above and beyond to look after our group. They were super experienced and knowledgable.
We are very pleased you enjoyed our commitment to ensuring a smooth and informative holiday for you guys. It was great to host you. Kindest regards and safe travels.
What a great experience recommended for anyone wanting to do a safari. The operator was excellent with their communication and logistics to the point where we didn't have to think about anything other than take in all the sights and viewing the animals. Everything involving with the safari was clearly explained. The guides were amazing, friendly and extremely knowledgeable! On top of all of that, we got to see 4 of the Big 5 and in certain cases within arm's reach. It was amazing! The accommodation was good, everything you'll need to be comfortable. At the end of each day, you'll be ready for the comfy bed. Definitely recommend!
Thank you Kurt for your positive and honest review. Certainly happy that you enjoyed the wildlife so much. It was great to host you. Kind regards
What an amazing opportunity this was to be able to see this part of South Africa. From start to finish our drivers and tour guides were friendly and informative. The transfer from Cape Town to base camp was about 5 hours (not including stops) so you are in the van for quite a bit - grab some snacks and hunker down in the back taking in all the scenery. We were picked up promptly at the airport but waited about 30 mins for a late passenger to make it - which didn’t affect our tour but did with another couple who were traveling with us. Along the way we stopped at Alzu for lunch and some game viewing so it was a nice teaser and we were off to Hoedspuit. Victor gave us all the info about each of the areas we drove through so it was pretty informative. Once in Hoedspuit (about 4 hrs later) we were able to stop and have lunch at an Indian Restaurant at the rest stop (staff was friendly and food was amazing!) and we were off with David to our Sundowner Safari scheduled for 4 - 2 hours away. We arrived at Khaya Ndluvo around 3 and were able to sit by the pool in the beautiful lodge while we waited for everyone in our tour to arrive. I wish we had stayed here for the night as it was absolutely gorgeous! The safari with Sammy was amazing and we were able to see so many animals including Rhinos, Elephants, Lions, Zebra, and even 2 cheetahs after sunset. As the sun was going down, we pulled over to watch it go down and had cocktails and snacks. It was perfect! Back at the lodge, we had dinner under the stars on their beautiful deck. Food was good and dessert was delish, then we were off to our camp for the night. And by camp, I mean camp…thankfully we upgraded to the chalet as I think we might’ve actually been in tents but the chalets were very basic. They were small and cute, had an outdoor kitchen as well as a private bathroom but there were no ACs and it was pretty warm during the load shed when we didn’t have electricity for 4 hours (which is beyond their control). I must say if you are not prepared to ‘rough it’ a bit for a few days, this play isn’t going to be good for you. The toilets were clogged within a few mins of the 4 of us using it and the bathrooms were typical camp accommodations. My gf had a few cockroaches come up through the drain while she showered so she was all set with the place and ready to find a hotel in the middle of the night. Her only god send was that the bed and sheets were immaculate. When we arrived it was pretty late (after 11pm) and the load shed had started so we didn’t have electricity. We didn’t notice until our host had left that we only had 2 beds (1 double and 1 single) which wasn’t what we had booked (1 double & bunks) so we asked our driver to call him back and he ended up moving two of us to an empty cabin next door because another reservation never showed. The other chalet was the same with bunks. Nothing fancy but good enough for the few hours we’d be there as we had an early start at 5:15. Britton was our driver the next morning and was promptly there (although we were a bit late). Once we were all rounded up, we tucked under the blankets in the open keep and headed out. Britton had breakfast for us at Kruger and we ate hard boiled eggs, rusks, granola bars, fresh fruit and coffee to our hearts desire and then took off for the day. Britton was awesome and we saw all of the Big 5 except for the leopard which we just missed right before he snagged a warthog and took off! He was very informative and made sure to get close for photo opps as possible. It was truly amazing. Lunch was a quick stop and at our own expense but everything is so inexpensive that it wasn’t a big deal at all. The food was eh but we weren’t there to enjoy the restaurants. We stayed in the park til about 3:30 but he would’ve spent more time there if we requested it, however most of us were exhausted and wanted to head back as it was a few hours to get to camp from the middle of Kruger. Once back at camp, we hung out by the pool and had a few drinks while we waited on dinner. Lloyd the host made us a delicious meal of grilled steaks, salad, paps and corn. Loved every last bite. My gf is a vegetarian so he had some veggies patties for her. Overall no complaints from me and my son ate two whole steaks because they were so good! Next morning we had an early start back to the meeting point but stopped at Blyde River Canyon first. I wish I had built in more time there as I would’ve def opted for a hot air balloon ride or boat trip but glad we were able to quickly swing in and see the viewing area. Britton drove us back to Hoedspuit where he took us to a cute breakfast spot and then we met up with our driver to the airport. Overall the trip was great and for the price we paid it was well worth the money - albeit the budget accommodations. The sundowner safari was the best part of the trip for me but being in Kruger was def an amazing experience!
Thank you for your thorough and honest review Monique. It is a pleasure to know that this was a good experience and appreciate your input and opinions. Safe travels
