2 Hour Night Walking Tour Throughout Gion with snack

Canceled without any notification waited 30 minutes before I had to verify this tour had been cancelled

Simon was a very funny and knowledgeable guide. We did this tour on our first night in Kyoto so it was great to learn about the city’s history and culture, and get an idea of restaurants to visit and what to do in the next few days.

One of the best walking tours we have ever experienced. The tour was extremely insightful, interesting and Simon shared knowledge and places we would have never known otherwise. The highlight of our Kyoto trip thus far. Could not recommend more.

We had a very interesting and informative tour of the Gion Geisha district with our guide Simon. He provided us with all the information spiced up with great humour and also answered all our questions. We had no problem locating him at the meeting point. A very enjoyable tour for all of us.

Simon our tour guide was waiting for us at the meeting point. He was interesting, knowledgeable and imparted his knowledge clearly. The walking pace was good , with ongoing explanations of what we were seeing, the sights were great and a good experience all round.

I took a couple of tours during my visit to Japan and this was by far my and my girlfriend’s favorite tour. Simon is very knowledgeable and keeps things interesting. There was a lot of cover and he is willing to answer all questions. Thanks to him, we were able to appreciate so many things we would have otherwise overlooked. Definitely our highlight of visiting Kyoto.

Simon-san was very impressive in his knowledge of Japan and Kyoto and Gion. He took us to many lesser visited angles of the district and showed us the lay of the land, customs, and hip spots and good ears all in 2 hours or so. It was a great tour. I'd say so far our favorite tour in Japan! Great work Simon

I booked 2 hrs before the tour, and had confirmation. Turned up 15 mins early, waited until 20 mins past the official start time. No one showed up to take the tour. I messaged via WhatsApp, tried phoning the contact number and left messages via the app. Two days later and I’ve still not had any replies. I’ve contacted Viator for a refund but they need to “investigate” before this can “potentially” be refunded and could take 5 days. When you’re only in a place for a few nights this can really waste a precious evening. Hopefully I’ll get the refund but there should be compensation too. As a solo traveller this really upset me.

Simon our guide was very punctual when meeting us, he was very knowledgeable and as he is English no language problem. He gave us a fascinating insite into Japanese culture knew the area and people really well. Only wish we had done this tour the day we arrived.
